    Illinois to South Dakota

My thoughts are with kids in mind! Some great stops... L.A.R.K. Toys in Kellogg, MN (Top 10 Independent Toy Store & Free), Spam Museum in Austin, MN (Free), Jolly Green Giant statue in Blue Earth, MN (Right off I90, next to Dairy Queen and Free!), Rest Area in Chamberlain, SD (awesome view &...

    Bunkhouse for us

Our 2009 Winnebago Destination 39N (bunk house) is for sale.  Only 7,000 miles if you're interested.  We've had our fun the past two summers and it's not looking like it's going to get used this upcoming summer.

    Ford Transit Diesel

With all the other Ford (RV) chassis' on the road, I can't imagine someone out there won't be producing a class B model by next model year.  Especially if Ford can do it cheaper. If there's an opportunity for the manufacturer to take some more profit to the bottom line!  You'll see it happen...

"Best" over-the-cab bunk in Class A under $120K (MSRP)

Our Winnebago Destination has bunk beds.  You might be better off looking for bunk beds vs. cab-over beds.  Search Winnebago/Itasca products with the model number 35 J and 39 N.  Those models have bunk beds in a gas or diesel models.  We have three kids and the bunk beds and pull out couch...

    Campgrounds around Minneapolis

Mystic Lake Casino's campground is the nicest and closest to Chanhassen.  Maybe a 20 minute drive to Chanhassen from Shakopee.

Trying to plan trip to South Dakota

Bringing the kids....our family's suggestion would be the Mount Rushmore KOA in Hill City.  Short drive or shuttle bus to Mt. Rushmore and great kids activities in the CG.  Pool, splash pad, mini golf, bouncing pillow, horse back rides, restaurant, pizza/coffee shop and small grocery store...

Took our first trip in our Winnebago .. AC questions..

The rear AC ran colder in our 35J as well.  Water running off the roof would be normal. The dash AC only blew cool in ours.  We normally ran the roof AC when going down the road.

Camping the Black Hills and The Ozarks

A couple of our favorites in the Black Hills are the KOA-Hill City (right behind Mount Rushmore) and Whistler Gulch in Deadwood.  Whistler Gulch is right in Deadwood and the CG is on the trolley line for taking a tour of the city.  As summer goes on, you'll be less likely to need reservations in...

    Bed rails for bunks?

The bed rails I was describing tuck pretty far under the mattress.  My twin boys had them on their beds for 2 plus years and never fell out of bed.  I think they're pretty safe. I've seen the type you can screw into the side rails of the bed.  The big issue is it's extremely hard to make the...

Class C loses power on inclines

Check the air filter.  You might've had a rodent build a nest and it's restricting airflow. Just throwing out another possibility.

    Bed rails for bunks?

Your going to love your 35J.  We bought our 35J when the kids were 10, 5 & 5.  It was a great way to travel for a family of five and the kid's would play rock, paper, scissors to see who got the bunks.  The two years we had ours, we put about 12,000 miles on it while touring the U.S..  We've...

    Bed rails for bunks?

We previously owned a Sunova 35J and went to a home supply store that sold bedding and purchased removable/adjustable bed rails.  They worked perfectly and they weren't super expensive.  If your not familiar with them.  They are "L" shaped and part goes under the mattress and the other part...
