    2013 Forest River Rockwood Reviews?

We just bought a new Rockwood. It's funny as we were driving out, after looking at the one we purchased, a couple stopped us and proclaimed their loyalty to these rigs. I have been around RV's for a few years and was taken with some of the features in our Rockwood. We are downsizing and my...

    Ram 2500 payload

Our Ram 2500 had all the weights covered except the pin weight. Pin weight is why people buy 3500's. Be safe and choose wisely

    Winter camping in Travel Trailer

We were in Albuquerque in 2010 when a front came through dropping temps below zero, even during the day. We were in a Beaver Motorhome at the time with diesel heat, dual pane windows and decent insulation. We did not freeze but did get cold. The next day a friend and I went through the park...

How long can I reasonably expect to stay in the active RV game?

This journey through life is never boring. Struggled to get here enduring all manner of insults to mind and body to retire. I retired in 2009, discovered full timing was not for us in 2012 and bought a house becoming snowbirds. I have wondered about stopping but figured I'd get the shoulder...

    RV Park Disturbance Question

I could understand the issue if he was out there at 10PM doing the work. During the day it is a difficult call and perhaps needs a one on one talk. If a solution cannot be arrived at perhaps relocating to another site would be in order. We have have been blessed with wheels!

    Gas can on TT tongue?

Gasoline mounted on the front hitch. Weight is always a concern. Batteries, gas and sparking raises red flags along with the propane tanks in the mix. Odor could be a problem. Is it possible to mount it in the rear?

    Thor A.C.E.

We are having problems with our 2009 Carriage so we went to a dealer to look at toyhaulers.  Having volunteered at a State Park I had seen ACE's come in and wondered about the.  There was a used ACE on the lot so decided to do a walk through.  Impressive how well they thought it through.  I like...

When has a RV company gone too far?

Folks speak of honor, ethics, trust and other things we try to live by.  I have not seen these qualities in many dealers.  That said, my expectations have never been in those areas when I talk to sales folk.  Horse trading was, and is, the same way.  Many people do not live to those standards...

    Washing your tt

300 square feet does not seem like much but each Spring the wash and wax routine is done and another one is done in the Fall.  It is during those special times roof maintenance and other good stuff are undertaken.  Not my idea of fun but you get to be upclose and personal with your rig which is...

Researching best 1/2 ton truck for pulling a trailer

Sounds like the half ton is where you want to be and all you will need.  All the manufacturersame have just what you are looking for although I prefer the Ram.  The new half tons are truly impressive compared to older models.  I get you about diesel cost however I would not overlook the 6.4L gas...

    Costco/Kirtland Toilet Paper

We use Scott for tender tush maintenance.  We have used all brands, got a pyramid going during one foray although I do not remember the brand.  Plenty of water is the key for us.

    Sound Conditioning vs RV Door-Slamming

Small irritants become big ones if you dwell upon them, I know, just ask my wife.  We stayed in an RV Park in Williams, a beautiful park with cemented roads and decent sites.  It had a hedge where we backed in and I thought that was nice.  Somewhere north of 4AM we were awakened by a train going...
