    Death Wobble/horrific shimmy fix

Hello Folks-  A few months ago I sought help for the dreaded "Death Wobble" that is apparently common on older Ford vehicles.  When I ran over almost any bump or pothole my 1995 Dolphin would enter into this bad shaking that would shake violently until I came to a full stop.  I also was...

    Front end shaking

I've had my old Dolphin in storage for the last 3-months.  I took it for a short drive today and when I hit a pothole the front end began shimming so bad I had to pull over to a full stop to make it quit shaking.  It was so violent I expected to see something hanging or broken underneath the...

    Loose steering

I am starting to experience some looseness in my steering as I drive down the highway.  It is not so bad that I cannot control my coach, more of a neusance than anything.  But I am having to constantly correct because of some "lag" in my steering wheel.  I seem to have 2-3 inches of play in the...

    Generac genset

Gary-  Just to follow up.  Your suggestion, once again, was right on target.  I put a charger on my house batteries and it all worked as you suggested.  I may have to get new house batteries soon, but for now they are holding a charge.  Thanks again for your wisdom and expertise.

    Generac genset

Gary-  I can ALWAYS depend on you for a logical and sensible reply.  Last time I checked I had adequate volts on my house batteries.  But they probably have lost some power since I last checked.  I will see if that simple fix will solve my problem.  I have saved myself countless dollars and time...

    Generac genset

Having trouble with my old genset.  It will crank and run from my remote start button in the cab while the motor is running.  But as soon as I kill the engine, the generator runs for about 10-seconds and stops.  I have replaced filters (both air and fuel) the fuel pump and the fuse.  Still it...

    replacing old rear view system

As one can see, I have an older coach.  And it is equipped with a black and white, blurry rear view camera.  I want to replace it with a new color system.  But to do that will require running wires.  (I do not want a wireless unit)  I can run wires from my monitor down under my coach to the rear...

    Replacing A/C's

On a previous post I sought help about how to purchase a replacement Dometic A/C.  The Dometic folks tell me that the new model to replace my old one is B57915.XX1CO.  It seems that it will fit my 14 X 14 opening and will work with my existing thermostat.  I am wondering if anyone out there has...

    Both A/C's quit in 2-weeks!!

Hey guys-  I was wrong about my a/c units.  They are Duo-Therm by Dometic.  They are also a 579 Series Brisk Air (13,500 BTU). However, I have had both a/c's removed when I resurfaced my roof.  I know how to get them unplugged, unscrewed and out of the standard 14 X 14 hole.  I can do the work...

    Both A/C's quit in 2-weeks!!

Remember the show "Hee-Haw?"  They sang a song called, "If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all."  Just hit 100+ temps here in Texas and both air conditioners have gone kaput.  So I've been told by a mobile RV repair technician that once older a/c's like mine go bad (1995 National...

    replacing fuel pump

I realize not everyone would desire to go this direction, but it is an option for some who do not mind doing the hard work.  After testing for voltage at the fuel pump and even applying external power to it, I knew I had a faulty fuel pump.  My coach would not start at my rural location.  So it...

    possible fuel pump issue

OK boys, motorhome started this morning as if nothing was wrong.  I was amazed.  It started just like it always has.  I tried it again 15-minutes later and it started again.  Then I went for a doctor appointment, came home 2-hours later to try it again and it would not start.  Starter engages...

    possible fuel pump issue

Wally-  There is indeed a relay switch mounted in the engine compartment fuse box.  I am not familiar with a safety shutoff relay although there may be such an animal somewhere.  I will continue searching, but I am beginning to fear my fuel pump has failed.  All comments are appreciated and I...

    possible fuel pump issue

RV Forum to the rescue: Just put in a new chassis battery and now the engine turns over, but seems like I am not getting fuel.  I checked all the fuses and relay and they are OK.  Could I have somehow messed up my fuel pump connection with how I reconnected my battery?  I have three wires all...

    HWH problems

Larry- I am an old Naval Aviator where virtually everything has an acronym.  It is my second nature to use them.  For instance in an F-4J the guy in the back seat is called the GIB.  It is endless.  I will definitely  try to be more clear in the future.
