Impact of Irma on Florida travel plans.

Come to Arizona!  Most winter visitors head toward Phoenix and west, but Tucson and the surrounding area is an amazing place to visit.

    Parking overnight, not in Campground

Some Pilot/Flying J gas stations have overnight parking...but could get noisy with big rigs.

    2016 THOR Hurricane/Windsport 27K owners - satellite TV help?

I'm sure this topic has been discussed on many threads by now, but my searching efforts have become a bit frustrating. We have a 2016 27K (on a 2015 chassis). We are going to install a Winegard Trav'ler satellite dish. Thor customer service sent me a roof diagram showing where the factory...

    RV length

Stopped for 2 nights in a state park on our way home from a 3 week trip.  We have a small 29ft RV plus a small SUV toad.  I calculated 45 ft for the "rig."  I had reserved (online) what was described as a 60ft pull-thru with the idea that we weren't going to use the toad and could just keep it...

    30 amp coach - 50 amp site

Good idea to carry several types of adapters!  We have some different ones for our sewer and for cable TV.  Now we'll add the electrical ones as well.  I know what you mean about some rv parks and their setups!  :o

    30 amp coach - 50 amp site

Hello SeilerBird, The RV park we have in mind has some sites with only 50 amp service.  Those sites are the best in terms of ease of parking, surface texture (grass instead of gravel or mud if it's raining), location, space, etc.  The park itself is not a great place, but it's the only one...

    30 amp coach - 50 amp site

Hello! I have a question:  our coach is 30 amps.  If we bought and used this device https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BUTDCA/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER would we be able to plug into a 50 amp site? Thanks! Eileen in AZ

Cumbres/Toltec Scenic Railroad - which way to travel?

More thanks for the really helpful information!  BruceinFL  -  you suggest taking the train round trip.  We'd love to that, but from my initial research, it seems we'd need an overnight in Antonito to do that.  Was that your experience? azwinne  -  what an adventure!  So glad you found your...

Cumbres/Toltec Scenic Railroad - which way to travel?

We would like to do that, but first we need to decide which direction to take on the train.  If we leave from Chama (and return by bus the same day), we would want to stay near Chama.  If we start in Antonito (and return there via bus), then we would want to stay near Antonito.  We are...

Cumbres/Toltec Scenic Railroad - which way to travel?

We hope to make a trip to northern NM/ southern CO later this year (September) and take a ride on the Cumbres/Toltec Scenic Railroad.  We're curious about opinions on which way to travel:  start in Chama NM and end up in Antonito CO, or vice versa.  Has anyone taken this train ride? Also...

    New members from Arizona!

Wow  -  thank you Tom for this information!  I might have gotten around to looking one day (after not feeling so overwhelmed at the moment!), but you've pointed me to a great source of information.  I've printed out the check list to take with us when we take delivery this coming week. Thanks...

    New members from Arizona!

Greetings from the beautiful high desert of southeastern Arizona!  Hubby & I are retired and have decided to take the plunge into the RV lifestyle.  Many years ago we towed a travel trailer, so it's been awhile since we've been out on the road.  We are picking up our brand new coach later this...
