The ingredients for condensation are moist air and a cold surface.? You have plenty of moisture in 90 degree air; do you have a colder surface for it to condensate on?? Why would the basements provide the colder surface?? If not, then the water source is not condensation but a leak.

Ron,  I think most things bought second hand have questionable backgrounds.  And yes, a repo even more so.  If you are able, please let me know what may be the issues in a "worst case" of say: No maintenance for 30K miles.  No oil change, filters, adjustments etc.  I know this is not good but...
