    Monroe Lake...

Okay, this might be a little tough to get an RV to, but I thought I'd post anyway... http://mywebpages.comcast.net/a.wirtz12/Monroe/Monroe.html Regards, Frank

    PERSONAL SECURITY IN YOUR R.V.:

After being a competitive shooter for about 25 years now, I decided to take a concealed carry course just recently.  I was a little disappointed in the course, but the instructor did have some very good information for us.  Here's a bit of a summary.  (Same caveats... I'm no attorney, and use...

    Fast blinking turn signals

If your truck flasher is the older kind, they work off of heat.  When you turn on your blinker, current flows to the bulb.  This current runs through the flasher unit, which is designed to warm up because current is running through it.  Sort of the same way a light bulb gets hot when turned...

Diagnose of H2O heater control module...

Fixed! Had a tired module.  Swapped it out with one I bought off of ebay, and fires right up.  This spark is significantly stronger! Looks like the spark circuit can get wimpy in its old age.  In looking at the board assembly, there are some aluminum electrolytic capacitors near the HV coil. ...

Diagnose of H2O heater control module...

Anybody know what the correct adjustment is for the ignition points on an Atwood GC6A-7E? I went out tonight and took a look in the dark.  The gap on the igniter is about 0.030", and the only time I saw a spark was on the very last cycle of the sparker when it went into shutdown.  Even then the...

Diagnose of H2O heater control module...

Whoops.  I may have submitted this before I was done typing.  Sorry if this got posted twice.  I have an Atwood GC6A-7E water heater that no longer lights using the control switch over the sink.  We have to manually light it in order to get it to fire up.  No fun.  We can hear the control module...

    Heater blower replacement how to

Note.. this is for a Hydroflame 8525-IIIV unit that was in my 1995 Four Winds. The heater was making nasty noises on spin up and down, so I decided it best to just swap out the motor.  I found a place online that sells the motor for $75, and found it locally for $83.  I bought it locally to...

Can I safely lubricate a heater blower motor?

Yikes... the actual disassembly was a bear, as the motor shaft was rusted and the the locking collar on the burner blower was frozen on.  I'm going to put instructions on how to do this in a different thread. -f-

Can I safely lubricate a heater blower motor?

Thanks to all for the quick replies.  I dug in and took a look today, and it appears that to get to the motor I need to pull the heater unit out as several of the mounting screws are obscured by the frame of the trailer.  This particular trailer is a bear to work on; I've had other jobs that...

Can I safely lubricate a heater blower motor?

Hi... I have an aging Four Winds Trailer that has served us well.? It was made in '95, so systems are now starting to fail.? Just recently, the heater blower motor sort of squeals a little on start up, and then again on on turnoff (low RPMS).? Still blows well, but the start and stop noise is...
