    Norcold 'Almost' Fire

Note to John Canfield... Thank you for your efforts in publishing your article about replacement of your No Cold and installing Frigidaire.  Finished our install last week in our Journey and we are both very happy. Nor-Easter Chet and Meredith.

Slapping Noise in Driver's Side Slid-out wall

Looking at the photo of your Topper, the locking mechanism should be fitted into the lock on the side of your coach when fully retracted. It appears to be sticking up into the air instead of being against the side of the coach. This could be giving the topper a chance to flap when under way. I...

    Location of Hydraulic tank

HWH usually have the supply tank built under the pump and control relays where the hoses and wires come together. HWH has it's own fliud and ATF is used as a replacement.

    2002 Journey Door Awning

Try the Awning Control Switch in the "IN" position instead of the "OUT" position. The Awning will wind in or out as there is no stop control when it is out. One can roll the awning out and then push the button and it will roll backwards. Please don't ask how I know this!!!!! Good Luck

    Propane leak

I have read this post 5 times and am confused. The OP says he could smell the stinky stuff and checked the tank finding nothing but still detected the smell. He shut off the tank and a few weeks later the tank was empty which kind of indicates there is a leak. Now he is in St Loius and smells...

Fuse keeps blowing for HWH levelling system

There is a metal box under the dash near the steering post but it contains several switches or relays that function from the control panel to the pump and solenoids. There may be a 'problem' in there that is causing your fuses to blow. I would second what John has said, "Call HWH, they can help...

Welding on larger pads on my HWH jacks?

My Memory is not as sharp as it used to be but I think the round jack pads are a cast steel or cast iron and you may cause mucho problems welding steel plates to the castings. Like the heat could crystalize the castings and they could shatter. Just my thoughts. Good Luck

    HWH Jack problem

Find your HWH Pump and under it, as part of the Mounting System is the Hydraulic Tank. The Vent Knob on top of the tank comes off and you will see a measuring rod on the cap that sticks into the tank. There are marks on the stick that will give you the Full or Low Add, information. This stick...

    Love Bugs...Windshield Film

We have found that HOT WATER does the trick, daily. I draw a bucket out of the outdoor shower and use the wash brush and apply plain hot water to the front of our coach. Let the water set for a couple minutes and rinse off the bugs from windshield and other surfaces. We do clean every day as...

Basement air fan runs even with the unit off

You say you walked down the Drivers side of the rig. The fans on the Drivers Side are cooling fans for the Engine cooling system. After Coolers or Inter Coolers or something like that, not for the A/C System. The A/C System is on the Passenger side, aft. Good Luck

    GPS and Altitude readings

I had a Able Bodied Seaman that sailed on my ship for a long time. His greatest concern was always, "How deep is the water"? I would always tell him it was "Too deep to walk home!" On the question of Altitude, My only concern would be that the GPS was reading + Sea Level! If you are in -Sea...
