Can anyone tell me the make/model of this RV?

    Here's the link http://www.classicmotorhomesonline.com/DesktopModules/SimpleGallery/RSS.aspx?

    Double Coin tires question...

Michelin here also.  Replaced original Michelin's because of age with the same type.  Never had a problem, and I check the inflation pressure prior to EVERY trip. One item of note.  What ever tire brand you decide on, tell your dealer you want to see the DOT Date Code molded in the sidewall...

Can anyone tell me the make/model of this RV?

1971 (or early 70's)  Futura on a Dodge chassis.  Should have a 318 engine.  Hope this helps.

    Why do guys do that?

Here we go again.  As for the hat, I too, remove or wear depending on the establishment.  Was taught to remove upon entering a home, church, etc.  Being retired Army, it was protocol to remove head gear when entering ANY building.  The problem with the now defunct "flying saucer" dress hat was...

    Recommend Dealers in North East

Grumbines RV Center in Harrisburg has always treated us fairly.  However, they are now owned by Freedom Roads.  Haven't dealt with them since the buy-out, other than an occasional part. Farnsworth Camping Center in Elysburg, PA is a family owned/oriented dealer.  Folks were very nice when we...

    Heater Blower Motor

Traveling home, during our last trip of the season last year, our heater-a/c blower motor quit.  I did the normal stuff to check the system out, pulled and checked all fuses, probes with test lights, etc.  Finally determined the motor was burned out.  Checked all kinds of web-sites, found one...

    Weighing a MH

I weighed our MH at a local truck stop.  Cost $7.  Weigh slip provided showed Front Axle weight, Rear Axle weight, and total weight. Try another truck stop.  Oh, I never asked for 4 corner weight, just whole rig.  I knew if I asked for the 4 corner deal, I'd get the same look you did.

    Interesting fuel savings device

I've got one that won't cost you anything.  It's called LIFT OFF. Lift your right foot off the accelerator a little.  Guaranteed to save more than 2-3% per year.  ;D

    Metal detecting

I also don't leave home without mine.  I take 2 with me on each trip.  A White's Prism V and a Fisher 1280X totally waterproof unit for using in the surf.  The White cost in the $400 range.  The Fisher is over $1000.  As with anything, you get what you pay for. On short camping trips I search...

    Wonderful Sunset over Surprise, AZ

I also take pics of sunrises and sunsets.  HE sure does paint a pretty picture, doesn't HE. Great picture.

    Is this too wide?

Shouldn't have any problem.  Lots of them on the road.  When I built trailers for my commercial accounts, I made sure they never exceeded 102" in width.  Enjoy your new MH.

Roadside Attractions in Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York

Many good suggestions.  We have visited almost all within PA.  Falling Water could be added to your list.  One of Frank Lloyd Wright's architectural marvels.  Also a stop in PA coal country and maybe a visit to a coal mine tour.  In Scranton there's the Railroad Museum.  Lots to see.  If you...

    Heater won't heat

Not trying to be a smart alec, but did you check the propane tank to insure it was turned on?  Have propane in the tank?  If so, you can test to insure propane is indeed reaching the furnace by simply "cracking" the input line at the furnace and smelling.  CAUTION:  Do this in an open area, no...

    motorhome dealer

Haven't bought a MH from them, but have ordered repair parts from them online.  Very satisfied with my dealings with them so far.  Since I do all my own repairs, I do much "comparison" shopping on line, always went back to PPL. Another thought.  With fuel prices going to go through the roof...

    Drivers

My DW loves to drive our 37' MH.  In fact she can get that thing going real fast, real quick.  She hasn't driven in a couple of years since injuring her wrist.  Once, if ever it heals properly, she'll be back behind the wheel, and I'll be making some more finger indentations in the arm rest. I...
