Is anyone traveling around the US?

Thanks for the reassurance, John. Have a good summer.

Is anyone traveling around the US?

We're in SW Florida and plan to stay in this resort through April. Given today's announcements and Bill Gates call for a 10-week national shut down, I'm worried that we may be trapped here until hurricane season. But I'm not sure Colorado will let us back into the state if we take off now or...

I'm back from the dead. Literally!

Gary, We're all glad that our very expensive modern medicine and care givers were able to give you many more years. This is one of those cases where American doctors and providers proved that they're the best in the world and worth every penny we pay them. They saved my life some 66 years ago...

    Hearing aids (again)

DW and I are about to begin the fourth year with our ReSound hearing aides. We recommend them to anyone who asks and some who don't. We use audiologists at U. of Colorado who are on salaries and work for us, not their commissions. Great talents and people.

Toad Jeep Cherokee Overland, or what?

To avoid the "death wobble" caused by the electronic power steering (EPS) that Jeep introduced in 2014 models, I bought a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland with 55,000 miles. Today, I ordered from Camping World a Roadmaster Nighthawk tow bar system and an Air Force One air brake for a little...

Toad Jeep Cherokee Overland, or what?

Thanks for the input. More replies will be useful because I have time to get this right.

Toad Jeep Cherokee Overland, or what?

I'm considering a 2014 or newer Jeep Cherokee Overland as a toad for our 40-ft Newmar coach. Does anyone tow the Cherokee? How should it be outfitted to avert wobble problems? Have the wobble problems been resolved for newer models? Should Jeep's Mopar accessory kit 68321-424AB installed on a...

    best for flat towing

First, be aware of the "death wobble" in toads equipped with electric power assisted steering (ESP), which is described in the "Cherokee Steering" thread. Second, will everyone in your party be tall enough to comfortably get into and out of a Wrangler or other high vehicle?

    Cherokee power steering?

Be double sure that the Trailhawk has a fix. Is it among the larger Jeeps that won't have a fix for another six months or so? Don't talk to a Jeep sales person. Go to the service department and find someone who knows what you're talking about. Make sure that the Mopar accessory kit (68321424AB)...

    Cherokee power steering?

From what I've read, all newer cars, not just Jeeps, with electric power assisted steering (EPS) are likely to have the "wobble". The wobble is described below as the vibration or movement that occurs when the toad doesn't exactly follow the motorhome or other towing vehicle. This is especially...

Las Vegas I-15 Construction at US 95/93 Intersection

We'll be driving to the Sept. 16-22 Newmar rally in Pahrump, NV. So this is a useful thread. Thanks.

Must-see sights in CO, WY & MT (and recommended campgrounds)

You don't say when you plan to travel. But since you're starting off at Rocky Mountain National Park, there are some nice campgrounds there. Also, the KOA in Fort Collins is great, especially if you have kids and like to spend time in wonderful college towns. Just hanging around  RMNP and...

    My new camera

About the same time in December when I bought my iPhone X Plus, I also spent $1k on a Sony RX100 V (version 5) point and shoot camera, which has a larger Sony sensor and about a thousand settings as well as a super auto setting. Both are smaller and more convenient to use than my 50x digital...

    Opinions on Newmar Products

We considered a Ford chassis vs. a Freightliner diesel pusher. It was no contest. So we bought a 2014 Newmar Ventana 4037 that had less than 17k miles on it and is in great shape. After driving it more than 2,000 miles to Florida a couple of weeks ago, we're more than sold on the diesel pusher...
