    conversion cargo trailer to TT?

Has anyone ever seen a utility trailer, with a removable camper, so you can use the trailer, when not camping? I once, bolted a pickup , popup camper (Palomino) on a utility trailer and went cross country. Reason the old Ford Ranger handled like a death trap with the camper on back.

    Suburban water heater anode problem

Thanks again. Glad I didn't go ballistic trying to get the round "fitting" out! Fyi, the model is VFD SI and a few numbers I can't read. Is it a good or bad idea to drain the heater, when not using the rv for a month or so, to extend anode life?

    Suburban water heater anode problem

YES!  Thank you very much. I have only read about the anode on the outside behind the burner tube. I now see it's inside, and very accessible! And to think I turned down an anode rod, threaded it into a brass pipe plug and put it in!  Big waste of time and a $5 anode rod! Thanks again.

    Suburban water heater anode problem

No room to get a pipe wrench on it. See picture. As a temp measure, I replaced the plug with a brass 1/8" hollow pipe plug, that I tapped the inside to 1/8" fpt. Then turned down an anode rod, threaded it, and screwed to the plug. Won't last long, but better than none. I chose the file picture...

    Suburban water heater anode problem

Where the anode screws in is a round headed (no hex) fitting with a 1/4" pipe plug, screwed into it. I took the 1/4" pipe plug out and water and anode sludge came out. I can't see how to remove the "round" fitting the plug was in. Anyone else see one like this before? Thinking of a plumbing...

    Towed vehicle lights

I will be towing a 2500# car, on a dolley. I will be making a tail light bar to bolt to the bicycle rack in the car. Question. How to route the wire from the MH to the lights, so it doesn't flap on the car, or drag on ground. One idea, was to have the wires go in a front door, and out the hatch...

    Which converter to buy

Need a new converter to replace the Magnatek. Progressive Dynamics has a new model PD 4646VL that's been out for about 2 months. The other model is the PD 4645V All the good reports about the PD converters is the older models. Any reason to buy the newer? ($16. more) How do the WFCO converters...

    Magnetek converter problem

Doesn't 12.4 volts, and dim lights sound like a problem? Plus, the charging voltage is 14.2 volts (with full charged battery) This is with the recepts. breaker on. I just turned all the 12 volt lights on. After 5 minutes did these measurements. Disconnected battery voltage  12.9  This is new...

    Entryway light idea.

Looking for a light to put just inside the door, for entering in the dark. I found a battery, homestyle, toggle switch, with led lights on it, at Harbor Freight, for $2.99. Downside is it takes 4 ! aaa batteries. Good news. If you take 2 batteries out, and put a jumper between 2 battery...

    Tow bar. Fancy vs. Basic

I was looking at tow bars online. Rather complex. Are these really needed? What's wrong with using a basic, "A" shaped tow bar made of 1/2" steel? Like one made by Valley, I have, with a 3500 towing capacity. What advantage does a complex one have, over a basic one? Anything other than, maybe...
