    New to Forum

For a great weekend trip near you next spring and summer try out Mountain View Ar. especially if you like music.  Reasonable prices, laid back people, and a pretty little town.  We spend a month there every summer.

    Magnetic tow light cables

I put mine inside the car on the deck behind the back seat.  A little Velcro with a sticky side stuck on the magnets also sticks to the fuzzy material on the deck.  I ran the cable down behind the back seat, under the mats and under the hood and out the front.  That way I left the lights...

    New RV'er looking to explore

You live near my favorite destination in the U.S.  We go to Mountain View, AR for a month or so every chance.  Camping there is reasonably priced with some of the best music anywhere and some of the most laid back, friendly people.  The only drawback is no straight level route into town of the...

    Fold a Bed

We have a couch like that in our Class A and when we have company,  I feel bad for them having to sleep (or try to) on it.  We are thinking about buying a blowup mattress to carry and put it on top when they visit.  We are hoping that will be a solution.

Catalytic converter price P30 chassis (1998 Winnebago Adventure)

I found a muffler shop that still had a pit for larger vehicles that I use so look around near your home.  I have used it several times on repair or mods. Ownb

quiet place to boondock around Dallas?

You could check out the Corps of Eng, park at Hickory Creek between Lewisville and Denton.  It is beautiful and reasonably priced.  We really like it there and it is close to everything.

Rayne, La.  has a nice park right at the exit.  That is just west of Lafayette.

Where to park our Serenit in the Dallas/Ft Worth area for a few days in November

There is a very nice Corps of Engineers Park , Hickory Creek, about a mile or so South of Destiny RV in Denton.  Also, Holiday Park in Benbrook, South of Ft. Worth is nice and is another Corps of Engineers Park.  We have stayed at both of these and really liked them.  We have friends who stay on...

    RV Parks Around Plano, TX?

We have friends who stay at Clear Lake Park ( a Corp of Eng. park ) on Lavon Lake when they visit other friends in Plano.  It is about 20 miles to downtown Plano.  They like it and have been there several times.  And it is cheap with a Senior Pass.

Look for the GFI button-  a funny looking outlet with a reset button- and reset it.  Ours is in the bathroom.

JellyStone park and Campground, North Texas

Which Jellystone was so bad?  I know there is the one S. of Ft. Worth and one N. of I 20 at Tyler. Where were you?

    Getting around Dallas

One way to dodge Dallas and Ft. Worth and the construction on I 35 W would be to take Exit 556, Hwy 69, near Tyler and go NorthWest 113 miles to Hwy 82, just east of Sherman.  Then go West on 82 , 109 miles to Henrietta and Hwy 287.  Go 234 miles Northwest on 287 to I 40, just East of Amarillo...

Florida Panhandle - Conditions for camping and traveling?

We camped at Ft. Pickens campground, Gulf Island National Seashore on Santa Rosa Island, south of Pensacola and with our Senior Pass , we paid $10 a night for water and 50 amp electric with dump available.  It was a beautiful place with the gulf beach on one side and the bay on the other.  I...

    Interesting Destinations in Texas/Oklahoma?

A little known place at Waco, TX is the Waco Mammoth Site.  It is very interesting with multiple  mammoths already removed and several more still on site and viewable inside a climate controlled building.  Also if you visit the LBJ Ranch, make sure you visit the Living History Farm at the State...

    Black tank flush

When we first got our 2005 Monaco our black tank backflush would not work either. It turned out the vacuum breaker (under the lavatory, I know it is a strange location) was the problem.  It was replaced and all is well now.
