Well maybe you can't but on some older units I have definitely pulled that piece he is showing out the top.

Take the cover off on the roof and run a thin wire down thru the chimney, bend a hook on it to hold that piece and pull it out. Then see what you can do to keep it suspended in that tube.

Turn the turn signal on and listen for the clicking. Probably they will be close to each other. I found them in an outside storage compartment on a Workhorse chassis.

Don't do it,it puts to much force on the trailer frame that it was not designed for.
