I'm in agreement with Irishtom29. I tow a 33' Sportrek that weighs about 9500lbs when travelling. I have an '18 F150 3.5l 10spd. The thing is an absolute beast. Towed the trailer to Gulf Shores, Al. from Mi. last year and Sturgis, Sd. this year. Got between 9-10 mpg and the thing never went...
Not sure if the new ones are the same but, I had a F-350 that came with a relay in the glovebox that you had to install into the power distribution box under the hood the get the trailer battery connection to power up. Hope this helps.

I own a 2015 F-150 5.0l 3.31 axle super crew. I have put 88,000 miles on it already without any problems. I pull a Sporttrek 320 VIK with with no issues at all. Truck has great power and goes over 300 miles with the 36 gallon extended range fuel tank.
