    Questions about Reflection 312BHTS

You may want to check on the Grand Design Owner's Forum for some real world answers. Like many or most manufacturers, GD does make changes at any time in a specific model year and often make more planned mid-year changes. When we purchased our 2015 Reflection I was aware of certain mid-year...

    RVs and E-Bikes

We are also considering adding some E-bikes but one concern is a growing number of National Parks that do not allow E-bikes. We were recently in Zion and signs everywhere stating that E-bikes are not allowed. I asked at the rangers station and the ranger I spoke to didn't know the reason but...

    Cab Clearance

I had a slider hitch for my regular bed (6'5") and only used it once to test how it worked. Guess what? I slid the hitch to the rear position and then went to back my trailer into my side yard and proceeded to dent my tailgate! What happens to some people is they are so concerned in avoiding...

How long of a trailer would be your max for this...

I'm looking at this way ... you say your street is 28 ft. wide, not withstanding the parked cars because you could ask them to move them for a few minutes and you really only need the clearance on the other side of the street, that is more than 3 times the width of you trailer. You will...

Why do TT and 5th wheels dont have built in Generators

Toy Haulers typically have them and most high profile 5th wheels at least are prepped for them and some can be ordered with them installed. My 5th wheel had no option for either the generator or the prep so I added one myself. Fits in the front storage compartment (although tight) and runs on...

Grand Design towed by Silverado 2500HD

I won't tell you you're totally within the "specifications" of your truck (you didn't say what year it is) but I tow a 337RLS, which is similar in weight, flawlessly with my 3/4 ton diesel. I do have an exhaust brake though which does help a great deal in the mountains.

Can't find fifth wheel I want

Yeah, Lilac15, I actually find quite a few 2015 models around the country, which may be the problem ... traveling some distance to get a new trailer, but they are out there.

    RV Nation ???

Hey Ted! We're gone more than home these days. We were set to travel the US leaving yesterday but I lost the turbo in the truck so it's at the dealer getting a new one. We hope to leave early next week. Got a new trailer in January and we love it. We will be at Silver Strand for New Year's Eve...

    RV Nation ???

I think a concern, although it shouldn't be, is service after the sale. It is a reported issue that many RV owners are having increasing difficulty getting their RVs serviced, particularly warranty work, by dealerships where they didn't buy them. Full-timers and part-timers alike. I read it all...

I-70 from I-15 in Utah to Denver Question

Sounds wonderful and we can't wait. Unfortunately the truck is at the dealer getting worked on. I finished some prep work, wax and new fuel filter, and was headed to fill my fuel tanks ( I carry 66 gallons of diesel) and got a service engine light. I had one come on twice last month when we were...

I-70 from I-15 in Utah to Denver Question

I was hoping you might see this. Haven't seen you post in a while? I do have the truck (Duramax with exhaust brake, yadda, yadda) and not fearful or unprepared for mountain driving so I am really looking forward to it. We should be leaving San Diego next week so unless there is a sudden...

I-70 from I-15 in Utah to Denver Question

So how is that route this time of year? I have a couple of choices for routes from our home in San Diego to Indiana but that looks like it would take us through some beautiful country that we've never been. Thanks

    Catalina State Park Hours?

We just came home from there a couple weeks ago. You can drive in and out 24 hours a day. No gate, no worries.

do I need AAA for my cars when not RVing, if I have coachnet?

I switched from being a AAA member for over 20 years to Coachnet in 2012. My only experience was not good. My wife was out in her car and locked her keys in it. Coachnet's response time, in downtown San Diego!, was going to be 2 hours so I drove the 40 miles from our house to unlock her doors. I...
