OK, new info. The converter is definitely shot. It's outputting 16 plus volts (seemingly intermittently) and I found the batteries (2 6vs) were literally boiling. Thanks for the prompt reply Gary. I figured it out and you were right. House batts were really low so I checked the output of the intel Charger nada. One of the fuses had worked loose. Gotta love rattling around. Popped it in and everything is fine. Amazing how screwy the 12 v system can make...

Some more info. I came back to the rv and the fridge turned on but when I turned on the heat using the thermostat the fridge cut out. Also turned on the hot water. No woosh sound like we usually hear but the pilot light out light is not on either. No hot water.

Will do. I tested it around the house and it worked great. Also had it on the Phone hotspot for about four hours and no issues (and we have shoddy cell service at home.....of course). So i don't really see any issues but will advise in a week or so after we get into the trip.

That makes sense. I wasn't going to install a seatbelt and we actually just pointed out to the kids that they can't sit there when we are driving. Was just wondering if anyone understood the logic.
