Yes, the MV3500A is junk. I had that one....I believe Winegarg no longer supports it.. Moto Sat Executive (see my link) is about the same price with far better performance and reliability.

I found them to be very usefull...even in summer when running the dash air cooling. I have the fans pointed outward to the sides. Turn them on..the dash air circulates better all around the driver and passenger area. It's all about air movement..dash air moves the cool air and fans boost cool...
