Has Covid Vaccine Arrived in Your Area Yet?

I got my first shot on Dec 21 and second last Monday (Jan 11). Both gave me a mild reaction of arm pain and a slight fever the next day. Fever made we want to stay on the couch and watch TV and not go anywhere, which is exactly what I did. All fine now!

Can I add a wind sensor to our electric awning?

Hi and welcome. I used the Carefree sensor, part number SR0093. It's available on Amazon still for $85.02. https://www.amazon.com/Carefree-SR0093-Direct-Response-Upgrade/dp/B004RCUR8M I have the Lippert Solera awning, it has the Power drive Solera head with speaker. I removed the cover from...

    Progressive insurance...what's your current opinion?

Had Progressive for 9 years, truck, car, RV, two motorcycles, PWC.  No claims or any issues, except they went up a little every year, this year was enough where I called the lizard folks and the lizard was $1,000 per year cheaper for same or better coverage. Switching...

    Looking At Purchasing Used Ambulance

I'm sure there are some nice ones out there, but having driven and worked in ambulances on and off since the 70's, there is no way I'd buy any of them that I worked in. When we got rid of them, they were done (too many issues to fix. Government didn't want to buy new ones until they had to). YMMV.

Circling the globe by jet ski

I will have to watch that. As an avid jet-skier, I can't imagine trying to circle the globe. Wow!

Can I add a wind sensor to our electric awning?

I added the Carefree device to my Lippert awning. Simple to add into the head, hard part was getting the wiring to the awning switch. It is not what I would really call a "wind sensor" per se, but more of a gust sensor. If the awning gets wind-whipped and "jolted" it rolls up. Carefree part...

    Toll tags and RVs?

Some of them will automatically identify the tag of the tow vehicle and then also read axles, some plazas don't. I got a letter in the mail from the Houston system using the trailer license plate wanting the fee, even though it charged me for the truck (regular rate) which had a tag. I called...

72x80 short rv king bed sheets

I have bought from them as they will make custom sizes. My bed that lowers in the garage has a mattress that is 88x54x8. They made a great fitted and top sheet (they also made a replacement mattress when the stock one gave up).

Newbies Here ... With A LOADED Question! (Be Nice)

I currently have a KZ and love it. Second KZ, have had minimal issues with either. Two friends also had the same trailer, no major issues. Mine is a travel trailer, but I can't see how a 5th wheel would be much different construction wise. I carry three sportbikes and a pit bike. Unfortunately...

    Use of a helicopter

Back in the early 90's, I flew for a private company and we would go down into south Texas and do low level flights over tomato fields when it was supposed to freeze overnight (like 20 feet low level). It kept the air flowing and prevented frost from forming. Usually had to fly a Bell 47 or a...

    Motorcycle Question

My quick 2 cents...I currently have 3 Hondas, 2 Kawasakis, and 1 Harley. They each have different purposes for me, and I love them all. One of the Hondas is a race bike that I now teach on, and like xrated mentioned, it's impressive since it has 65,000 track miles on it with no issues.

    Need to pull my generator...HELP!

I just had to remove mine last summer. There was no slack in the fuel hoses, I disconnected them and plugged them (there are two on my model) I had to disconnect the 12V starter solenoid and the 12V ground, then remove the electronics board to get to the actual 120Volt connections (I ended up...

Who owns a TT toy hauler? Personal experiences sought

I have a 29' KZ MXT. It uses the "hybrid" garage plan, in that there is no separate garage. I can fit 4 bikes in it, still use the upper bunk, and the bedroom while loaded. Once I get to my destination, unload bikes, fold down the seats, etc and have plenty of room. I use the PitBull trailer...
