Pretty sure there is an "over rev" feature in the electronics "ECU" that will not allow it to rev past 1500 or go into a limp home mode if the motor has not reached operating temp or is not put into gear...or something like that.... Seems to me the Ford garage should not just fluff it off, but...
Yes the hole is fine for just the plain hose but it is not large enough for the fitting that is fastened to it..I solved the "problem" by taking my saber saw and carefully shaving the edges from the underside until the fitting just goes through the hole..I had to do this to my previous rig...
I was just surprised to see the magnesium starting to deteriorate where it is connected to the drain plug seeing as the RV has not been used yet..but the dealer did have the system filled and tested for me prior to delivery..All I was looking at was the first 3/4" or so which clearly was doing...
Thankyou Rene T....I did not know there is a fixed rod to the drain plug and the anode material is kinda wrapped around it.. Picture explained everything.....
When I winterized our 2018 (new) 29 ve Winnie I pulled the water heater plug and noticed the anode was already starting to deteriorate where the rod is attached to the plug!...Is this normal ? This is a brand new rig and we have not camped in it yet... do you suppose that water has been sitting...
I have no data between the two but I have the same gut feeling towards the Mercedes..I don't think I would be too concerned with either..diesels are so reliable these days so I think it comes down to the look and feel of each unit and floorplan that works for you..I imagine the Ford may have...
Diesel is an inherently dirty fuel..major strides have been made in the last 20 years to reduce the carbon emission etc by installing automatic particulate filters and cleaner fuels thereby drastically reducing emissions..The French and Brits recognize this but they are mandating by the year...
You are kidding me right....look up particulate matter...Turbo or not someone is selling you ...They won't even LET you into some cities if you have a diesel! others fine you the dirty tax..
You have pretty much eliminated all possible faults to the unit and more than likely replacement will be the only answer..I have one last ditch attempt to revive the old girl and that is to remove the whole refrigerator and thoroughly clean all the external stuff and tip it upside down a few...
We had a neighbor with her wind chimes hanging on the end of her 5th wheel...about as far away from her bedroom as could be ..really.
That same wind chime was only about 10 feet from our bedroom!...About 4.00am somehow they ceased functioning.... Sorry...no wind chimes in any campground..I...
Assuming everything else has been checked out..take a good look at the little switch that is adjustable for Altitude..it has markings for sea level all the way up to the top of the Rockies!..you may have inadvertently moved this if you have been cleaning or servicing the Gen Set..it's easy done...
firstly check the alignment of the door to the unit....the door should match up to the seal area perfectly....check the rubber seal around the door by sliding a dollar bill all around the perimeter..should be an even easy pull.. be sure to clean the bottom of the seal really good, foodstuff...
You will be OK if you stick within the 300-350 lb weight as you are mentioning...If you go much heavier the frame should be gusseted to beef it up. However there are weight limits and don't expect to hang a 700-800 lb behemoth to it. I have a Honda CRF 250L..weighs around 340lbs total and it...
