If your going to completely redo something, in my opinion, you should buy a nice bus chasis and build it the way you want it.

It sounds like you did all the right stuff. Did I read that right, they mounted the new tire with out removing the rim? That is awesome. Did you notice any unusual vibration 100 miles prior to the blowout? It happened to me and when I thought back I had noticed a vibration.
