New (to me) 1984 Vogue II - Restore or junk?

If your going to completely redo something, in my opinion, you should buy a nice bus chasis and build it the way you want it.

Jackson MS - seeking help :( disaster of a vacation. glad to be back home.

Gary, On a class A do they raise the front of the body off the frame when they pull the engine or do they rack the frame and drop it out of the bottom?

I would call around and compare prices. You should be able to get a rebuilt longblock for $2500. As far as the installation, 9k sounds pretty steep to me. I would think you could get it back on the road for $5500... just guessing. You just got to find the right mechanic. The pressure guage was...

It Finally Happened, Blew a Tire

It sounds like you did all the right stuff. Did I read that right, they mounted the new tire with out removing the rim? That is awesome. Did you notice any unusual vibration 100 miles prior to the blowout? It happened to me and when I thought back I had noticed a vibration.

    bus vs Class A

I wish I would have been paying attention to the forums when you posted this. In case you are still reading and if anyone else comes along and reads it, I will throw in my 2 cents. I have owned one class A, but I don't have any were near the experience most of the folks on this forum has with...

About to retire and kickin' tires

Welcome to the madness  ;) I will be the odd one out and suggest a bus conversion. I think for the cost and reliability, they are a viable choice for anyone.

    Boondocking SCARE

When we travel we carry a couple of firearms. If you are concerned about shooting someone by mistake, take a class and get familiar with your gun of choice. What TheBigLarry said is very true, "It is better to be caught with a gun, that caught without one." In the coming years I suspect it...

    Testicle Festival

Now that's funny. Everyone should go at least once and it's BYOB. I thought the folks in Montana were tame.

    Motorhome affordability

I am not retired, but I have a strong opinion about it. As seilerbird stated, it will depreciate very quickly. You can get a nice usable rig to get your feet wet RVing on a tenth on the money you mentioned. As far as "affordability" for a retiree, if you made that $200k purchase, would it hurt...

Flashing overdrive light & failed speedo

I had a Ford E4OD transmission on a 33' Coachmen that did the "light at the end of the shifter blinking" thing right before the transmission burnt up. I would check your transmission fluid and go easy on it until you can get it checked out. As Claude Akins would say, "That was a $3000 dollar...

    On the road..

I travel a small part of I10 just about everyday. It looks pretty clear all the way through Houston, except when you get to Spur 330. You shouldn't have any problems. You can use the transtar system on your cell phone or the internet. http://traffic.houstontranstar.org/layers/ . *** Location ...
