    We already have a CO and smoke detector. Thanks I know I can hardwire one in and use a battery (car/motorcycle), just trying to save myself more cost  with extra purchases.

    My 1967 tt doesn't have one. We will be boondocking a lot and there will be no electricity or battery back up for the camper. Figured battery operated detectors were the way to go.
