I use the standalone version of Photoshop CS6. I also use NIK and Topaz.  I have other software, but don't use it much.

The shot without the HDR would have been fine had you compensated with your exposure. You ended up underexposed from what I am looking at.  The light meter always tries to make your snow gray.  Increase the exposure about 1.5 stops and you would have a pretty nice image.

Thanks Larry.  Magic light doesn't happen as often as you would like and then you have to be patient enough to get it.

Here is the group photo taken this evening after our grilling session and good food.  Would have liked better light for the shot, but we had overcast skies today.  Great group and very cooperative for the shot.  Only needed one.

Here is an image that started out as a portrait of a flower.  I converted it to this:  I call it "The Eye of the Storm".    Enjoy.

Spring is upon us here in the DFW area.  I shot a lot of images yesterday at the Dallas Arboretum.  I have included a few here for you to enjoy.

This is an image captured this morning at the Heard Museum grounds in McKinney, Texas.  It was a pleasure to lead a group of 13 photographers on this shoot.  We had fun and then went to lunch.  Beautiful day in the mid 70's.
