    Wintering in Florida

You might want to consider Long Point Park, a Brevard County-managed Park just north of Sebastian Inlet. It's an island, and almost all of the sites are waterfront. We camp there often and love it. Technically, it's in Melbourne Beach. Just down the road is Sebastian Inlet State Park. Here's...

    Rocky Bayou State Park

Rocky Bayou is a bit off the beaten path, so it's not going to be the first choice for people who want to be near the beach.

Rv camping with a motorcycle in Florida in January

I concur with odie1234 and would add only one thought. Avoid beachfront campgrounds in North Florida in January. Weather is unpredictable, and there's nothing more miserable than camping on a beach with a stiff, cold and wet wind battering you.

    Sarasota/Ft. Meyers, Naples, FL

You might want to check out http://www.campvenice.com/ on the Myakka River. Great fishing in the river, even from shore at the campground, and the beach is not far away. I go there every year for a week or two. The campground is really comfortable and the owners are terrific.

    Florida

Florida's Gulf Coast from Fort Myers north to St. Petersburg is really heaven for RVers. Lots of campgrounds, lots of RV services and supplies. Personally, I particularly like the Punta Gorda area because it's in the middle of it all, yet less crowded.

    disneyworld

Many thanks for the tip, FASTRAK! It's slightly over an hour, according to Google, but its definitely worth a mention.

    disneyworld

Many thanks, CLISTON! Orange County does a nice job with its campgrounds. I'll check it out and include.

    disneyworld

Fort Wilderness is expensive, but it's worth being in the middle of the action for a few days. Here are a few excellent campground optionsnear Disney: http://floridarambler.com/florida-best-camping/roundup-best-camping-nea-disney/

    2012 Florida Strawberry Festival

As many of you know, the annual Strawberry Festival in Plant City, FL, is a huge gathering of folks, including a large contingent of RVers who winter in the Sunshine State. This year's festival is set for March 1-11, 2012, and the headline acts were announced today, including Bocephus, Reba...

    Henderson Beach State Park, FL???

Long Point Park is one of my favorites. Allow me to share an article I wrote about it not long ago: http://floridarambler.com/florida-best-beaches/sebastian-inlet-camping/

Triple A, Good Sams, Net Coach??

I swear by AAA-Plus RV. Expensive, but worth every penny. Have used it many times for lockouts, flats, etc. (The RV coverage also covers my boat trailer.)

    KIND OF EMBARRASSED TO ASK.....

Blue Boys are invaluable after a few days in state parks where there are no sewer hookups. I use mine only for gray water, and that's the tank that fills the fastest on my travel trailer. Trailers are more of a pain to roll over to the dump station than a Class C or Class A. And it all depends...

    Florida State Park Reservations

Just a quick addendum to what's already been said in this thread. It's true that the farther south you go in Florida, the more difficult it is to get a campsite in winter. But it's not impossible. Very often, people reserve whatever they can at state parks 11 months in advance, but as they...

Camping at Pennekamp SP in Key Largo

November is still a fairly quiet month in the Keys, but you should make your campground reservations as early as possible, and keep trying if you don't get one right away. Pennekamp is $36 per night, and your best bet is to book a site during the week. Weekends are usually full. I camped at...
