I purchased the potentiometer with the switch which I'll try installing in the same location as the existing fan switch. All I would need to do is run the wires to the bathroom fans motor.
As someone stated not all motors can be controlled by a potentiometer. I'll give it a try to see if it works.
After reading your recommendations, I'm looking at a Fan-Tastic Vent Fan Model 1200 3 Speed with manual lift, appears to be a perfect replacement fan.
Also found a Fan-Tastic Fan on eBay which appears to be only replacement parts...
I have a standard RV bathroom fan with plastic cover that uses a 12 volt one speed fan. It's becoming at time noisy, I tried lubrication but still produces an irritating noise at times.
After looking around for a rv bathroom fan I wasn't able find a replacement fan that's either 2 or 3 speed...
Yeah I don't know. I grew up in an area without street numbers. Addresses for mail were rural route numbers. Lots of people were still connected to the 1800s. didn't really know anything about street numbers as an address.
Often didn't even know the rural route numbers, you were the family or...
I agree. I only feel at home when I actually own the property where I reside.
When renting I feel more like a subject of a landlord, because complete ownership of a "domicile" is taken away as renters don't own the land property and building structures where they reside. Have no deed and...
I lived in a RV that was on my own property sitting on blocks without the wheels removed and I'm fairly certain it was considered a residence as I paid property taxes which included improvements such a garage and trailer.
However I was told in order for the RV to be classified as an actual...
I already ordered the 42065 Style II and waiting for it to arrive.
The Style II is a fairly popular toilet installed in new motorhomes, 5th Wheels and trailers. I have a later version I think that comes with an improved valve design which may be only better o-rings that are hard water...
After researching some more I found a message on one of the forums that Thetford Residence is an all plastic toilet without a China porcelain bowl.
People who sell RV toilet often describe a RV toilet as China or having a china bowl, however if the bowl is plastic they normally won't provide...
Since I'm not able to verify the Dometic 310 has no replaceable ball which has cracked for some of the Dometic 310 owners. I've decided go with a Thetford 42172 Residence that has a replaceable part list that includes the ball valve.
I'm not really impressed with either of the toilets...
I've found a Dometic 310 and a Theford Residence for about the same price. The Dometic is $10.00 more in shipping.
Both appear similar but don't know how they compare internally or when repairs are needed.
I have a Thetford 34060 High Profile that someone threw out. It appears to have little...
For myself the wipes work better than toilet paper. Normally I need only one wipe and it cleans better than toilet paper.
Another reason is when using toilet paper I need to dump more often. I'm a full timer and have lived in this particular RV for approx. 10 years. The toilet is used every...
The two Thetford toilet I've been looking at so far
Theford Residence and the Thetford Style II
Both have the ball as part of their replaceable parts list

I found a deal on eBay for a new Thetford 42061 low profile toilet with china bowl and sprayer. Total with shipping was approx. $118.00, however after a few days of paying the seller, the order was cancelled and I was sent a refund with no explanation.
I've narrowed down my selections to two...
My Motorhome came from the factory with a gas water heater but there is also an electric rod that plugs into the 120 VAC outlet inside near the water heater.
It simply screws into the bottom drain plug. I remove it approx. once a year, wire brush the corrosion and it's as good as new.
It's...
I'm thinking of purchasing a Dometic 300 with the plastic bowl.
The 310 has a ceramic bow with a plastic base. The pdf file shows their exactly the same toilets except the 300 has a plastic instead of a ceramic bowl.
Any reason to pay additional for a ceramic bowl?
