Need advice on a 5th wheel hitch

The companion won't do any good with your bed. I have had the b&w on my last three trucks and wouldn't have anything else. I believe they make a slider. Your options are wide open at this point, but I would take a serious look at b&w

    US Made TT/5er Tires

I just picked up a new fifth wheel. The tires that came on it are all over in these forums...in a negative way! I am pulling the lever on the endurance tires next week. Not a lot of info on these yet, will follow up as needed

    Battery weight

Thanks Gary. I do have the lip of the 10" I beam on the rear of the compartment and also on the driver side. Don't see anything in the front and would have to go all the way to the passenger side to get I beam, hopefully that makes sense. I have thought about pin weight, my fifth wheel has a pin...

    Battery weight

Howdy. Picked up my new fifth wheel last week and am starting some modifications. It came with 1 group27 battery. I purchased 4 6v golf cart batteries that I will run series/parallel. My concern is weight. The floor in my front compartment is pretty thin sheet metal and I don't feel comfortable...

    Break ins

I agree corvettehogan. We have been "vacationing"in rv's for thirty years. Have stayed in campgrounds and rv parks mainly and never have even come close to a problem. But that was just "vacation stuff". I too carry with a license. Just need to be there when something happens. I'm probably just...

Just wondering what some of the full timers do to protect all their belongings. We are a few months away from hitting the road so there are a million thoughts going through my head. All my belongings in the the firth wheel with pretty flimsy doors and compartments. Have seen some pretty good...

    Thoughts?

I'll try not to make this too long. Just sold our older Montana and got a heck of a deal on a '15 Shasta Phoenix 33ck. It was purchased new in July '16 and taken from the dealer lot to an rv park and has been there since. So there is about 40 miles on it. Good...and maybe bad. Definitely has not...

    Nice site!!

Howdy from central Texas. We have had one rv or another for about 30 years now. Everything from travel trailers, 1 class c, and have had several 5ers for the last 15 years or so. Just sold our older Montana and are picking up a '15 Shasta Phoenix today. Getting ready to be part time-full timers...

    WALMART and Safety personal experience

Only did Walmart once, there was just no other choice. Didn't unhitch or even pull out the slides, just put my head on a pillow for a couple hours. I would try to avoid Walmart parking lots if at all possible.
