    Inverter

Just a final update.  Bought an AIMS 2000W Inverter charger PSW.  It fixed my shore power GFI issue, so my previous Freedom 1500 did indeed bond neutral and ground, causing shore power GFI to pop.  Apparently nothing else in the coach bonded neutral and ground.  Refrig, microwave, outlets are...

    Inverter Charger replacement Remote

Thanks, Chris.  Your layout is similar to mine.  So, to net it out, you ran the cat5 from oneplace, through the coach to under the bed aft, then under the coach to the inverter?

    Inverter Charger replacement Remote

My Freedom 1500 finally bit the dust.  Replacing it with another Inverter/Charger.  This one uses an 8-wire cat5 cable for the remote.  The existing Xantrex wire is an RJ12 (6-pin telephone plug) on a 6-wire cable.  Unfortunately, the new I/C  uses 7 of the 8 cat5 wires.  So I clearly will lose...

    Inverter

Apparently blew my Freedom 1500.  It will invert, but not charge.  Any idea if its repairable?  Its pretty old, but new ones are pricey and not a good time to spend a lot of $$. Have a problem with plugging motorhome into GFI 50A outlet.  The Freedom apparently ties neutral and ground together...

    Winnebago Journey ATS

Thanks, Ernie.  On mine, the current wires have very short stubs of wires coming out of the cable.  Probably a couple inches.  There is no long tail inside the ATS.  The only unit that I've found that has 3 cables on one side, and connections close to the entrance is the Lyght Elkhart LPT50BRD...

    Winnebago Journey ATS

I have a 2003 Winnebago Journey and the Automatic Transfer Switch is fried.  All 3 wires (gen, shore, output to coach) enter from one side.  Most of the replacements I see, including the one Winnebago seems to recommend (TLC 41260) seem to have inputs on one side and output on the opposite...

Any plug in hybrids currently available for flat tow?

The only flat towable plug in hybrid that I've found is the Ford CMax Energi.  Anyone know of another?

    Ford C-max Energi toad?

Thinking of a Ford C-Max Energi for a toad.  Manual says can be flat towed to 70mph and no fuses to pull.  I am looking at the plugin hybrid model.  Any thoughts?  We looked at the 2014 CRV and it also looks good, but the Ford is plugin hybrid, and newer for the same money.

    Roadmaster invisibrake brake questionHave a

I don't think it provides trickle charge to toad.  It fires off the light  when the toad brake is applied.  And alarm when it is applied for more than so many seconds ( I think 15 seconds).  The toad battery is charged from the rear brake wire, I believe.  Check the manual.  Don't let it drag on...

    Winnebago Wall Attachment

I want to attach something to my Winnebago Journey DL 2003 wall.  (specifically a TV lift mount).  Anyone have any idea how the wall is built and how to find any studs or structural supports in the walls?  Are they wood?  Would a stud finder be any help?

quadrider:  Kewl.  How is the camera attached to the DVR?  Is it rca/bnc type connectors and video connection?  Other options appear to be wireless IP camera, etc.  If wired, how bad was it to run the wires?

Anyone know the pinouts of the existing (color) Sony cable from the rear camera to the front display?  Ours is old and needs to be replaced.  The Voyager one seems to be charging huge amounts of $$ for the knowledge of  how to use that cable with their pigtails, to attach a new camera and new...

A camera on back of the trailer will help you avoid hitting anything as you back into a spot.  Somehow, rocks, trash cans, trees, etc, all seem to jump in the way when I back a trailer.

Thanks for the insight guys.  I understand side cameras that activate with the turn signals would be useless compared to mirrors.  Wonder if full time side view cameras would be of any value.  I have room for a largish monitor when the old CRT TV is removed.  Would like to upgrade the Sony; saw...

Considering installing some turn/backup cameras.  I have a 2003 coach with the older Sony backup camera.  Many of the newer motorhomes have cameras mounted on the side mirrors as well.  WOndering best technology to use.  There are some 420 line RCA/BNC connector cameras that would be wired to...
