Pressure adjustment/troubleshooting on Shurflo potable water pump

Sorry it took so long to follow up. Lot of non-RV problems popped up. There was no air leak on the input side--I resealed everything anyway, of course. No visible leak on the pressure side except that one tiny drop at the shorewater connection. However, the air leak possibility was a good...

Pressure adjustment/troubleshooting on Shurflo potable water pump

I'll check that next. The pump sits about a foot from the tank, only one short hose run. The tank is about half full at the moment.

Pressure adjustment/troubleshooting on Shurflo potable water pump

Thanks, y'all. It is a Shurflo 4048, less than a month old. We have two sinks and an inside shower, no drippage from any of them, good pressure when turned on. So far I found one minuscule leak, less than a drop per thirty seconds. Is that enough to cause this behavior? I have to say, this RV...

Pressure adjustment/troubleshooting on Shurflo potable water pump

My first tech question. I searched the Tech Talk forum with no luck. If this is a topic already covered somewhere else, Mods feel free to delete this. I just installed an upgrade water pump from Shurflo, 4.0gpm at 55psi; the previous pump was only 3.0gpm, same pressure. The new pump does not...

Polling: 10 Essential Tools for RV maintenance by full timers

I carry a ton of tools, six toolboxes plus a full electrical/electronic box. But what do I use most often? Gerber multitool, pocketknife, six-way screwdriver, and channel locks. Oh, and a small sledgehammer.

    In Theory... My solar question

When we lived on our sailboat we used solar, plus a wind turbine. Basically it's just solar panels to charge controller to battery bank. And yes, get heavy gauge marine grade wire, how heavy will depend on length of run and output of panels. If you do go with a charge controller--I recommend...

NORCOLD 982 WILL NOT GET COLD

The board's a separate item, runs 90 to 100 bucks online, might be different for your specific model--ours is a Dometic 3-way. Not saying that's your problem, but it was definitely ours. It's plug-and-play, and the installation difficulty depends on the geometry behind your fridge. Ours was a...

NORCOLD 982 WILL NOT GET COLD

Might be the controller board. A new Dinosaur board solved our erratic fridge issues completely.
