    Replacing fuel tank

Getting the tank free from the rig is easy it's the simple raise the 25,000-30,000 lbs that gets a bit more difficult. And we are talking a few feet as, at lest on my rig, the tank it tall wide and kinda long.

    Replacing fuel tank

My biggest question is how to get a 90 or in my case a 100 gallon tank out from under the rig.

    RV or Trailer

You can't beat traveling in a motorhome, air ride being the best. I've had 2 5th wheels and now a Class A. Since we have gotten it we have done a lot of short weekend local trips. Not having a truck to unhook and park makes the trips even easier. It's all really what you want but with the cost...

    Stay Alert Out There

My state has had a "hands free law" for over 10 years. It does nothing to stop people. 60-70% of people driving have a phone in thier hand and are texting or talking away. It's also very hard to enforce when your looking for something that fits in a persons hand while driving a full size, black...

    Extend-A-Stay type of LPG connectors?

I'm asking these questions because my propane tank is in the center of the RV running front to back. So accessing it involve squeezing and crawling under the motorhome and hoping I don't need to involve the fire department. Does the Extend A Stay have check valves to prevent back feeding the on...

    Hauling a 600lb motorcycle

This is something I have looked at as I would love to haul my GTR1400 (670 lbs + fuel) and I have yet to fnd something I'm comfortable with other then a small flatbed. There are some high end lifting motorcycle platforms that go on the back of a motorhome. They have a means of lifting the bike...

    How to start looking

With a half ton truck a 5th wheel is pretty much out. There are some that are light enough but they are very small and crawling into bed isn't just an expression. A DP is nice and I love mine but I tow a heavy trailer. They typically have larger tanks, more storage, more powerful engines and a...

RV Fridge to Samsung RF 18

Any new fridge you buy today is not going to last. That goes for appliances period. 3-4 years is about where most fridges will stop working and need a major component replace. It's not brand specific issue, it's an industry one. Gone are the days getting a new fridge and putting your old one in...

    2005 Vectra

Here is a link to an excellent write up with pictures detailing the repair and part numbers. I basically followed this. My unit was making a rather loud noise from the metal squirrel cage hitting the side of the blower housing. It wobbled like a badly bent rim. I would add the new motor has a...

    Bucket List

I dated a girl that lived there for 2 years, my brother went to collage there, I have friends that live there. I'm more then familiar with the city. You are the only person I have ever heard tell anyone to watch out for snow in Las Vegas. The annual snow fall is zero inches a year. Yes Mt...

    Directv Dropping SD

I have read and heard more conflicting information on this subject that I'm not even sure DirecTV knows what is going to happen. LOL I have read that sat 101 is going to be burned up in orbit as it is running out of fuel. That when this happens even the HD dishes will not be able to find the...

    2005 Vectra

Most the parts for the original units are still available. In the last couple months I pulled mine replaced the blower motor and squirrel cage. I also replaced the brass bushings on both blower motors with sealed bearings. The start and run capacitors are widely available. The company that made...

Jayco Seneca heavy chassis worth it?

The Seneca built on the Kodiak chassis is a very nice RV. A friend has one and I was real close to getting one my self. The tanks are larger then a typical class C and the trans engine gas or diesel is the same as a truck so service and parts are easier to come buy. The cons I know of are a...

What is the advantage of having roadside assistance apart from regular policy?

I have AAA and used it twice first time they towed my truck and 5th wheel home about 40 miles. Then 2 days later towed my truck to a repair shop. The last time was this June in Idaho with our new to use motorhome and a 30' box trailer. The box trailer blew out the bearings on the rear axle and...
