Backup camera now has delay in video coming on

Wow, it's been more than a year since I started having these issues and after numerous trips and reverse manuevers with no working camera, I called it quits and pulled the old unit and installed new color camera from Costco. Haven't taken it for a spin yet, but couldn't be happier with the view...

Water pump not working, no power to switches

Thanks for everyone's advice. I resolved the issue today and thought I'd provide a few details in case some future Pace Arrow owner encounters the same issue. So, here's the recap: I spent more time than I should have following wiring from the bathroom switch into cabinets and under the RV to...

Water pump not working, no power to switches

Water pump stopped working recently under a battery surge condition that I would have suspected would have blown a fuse. Problem is that I can't seem to find any blown fuses. I gone through every fuse in four different panels (under fridge with 110 breakers and several 12v fuses, chassic box at...

Have I been running a 24-volt house setup and frying electrical?

Yes -- positive. 12 volt Interstates. I'm also positive that they were wired in series -- just like you would do if you had two 6 volts. I was puzzled when I first saw how they were wired, but I figured it was just one more of the RV tech mysteries that I didn't understand and figured that it...

Have I been running a 24-volt house setup and frying electrical?

For the last couple of months, I?ve experienced a number of minor electric issues and now am wondering if all or most can be traced to the way the PO had wired the house batteries. First issue was a backup camera that look several minutes to have the image clear (was bright white when first...

Driver foot switch -- what is it?

I don't think it's a dimmer -- although it's exactly like those old ones. I tried out with headlights on and it had no effect on the lights. Also, my Pace is a gas engine, so the exhaust brake is out. Looks like I'll need to climb underneath it and see where it goes. I'll let everyone know.

Driver foot switch -- what is it?

OK, I feel really stupid asking -- but what is the small push button type foot switch that is on the left driver side floor of my 1995 Pace Arrow. It looks like the top half of a C-size battery and clicks when pressed. It doesn't seem to activate the ejector seats or cause any other dramatic...

Backup camera now has delay in video coming on

That's excellent direction. Thanks for the tips. Now that you mention the switch, it brings to mind a couple of times when turning the ignition gets no response and I have to try a couple times and then it starts right up. I may get lucky and solve two issues (fingers crossed). I'll dig into...

Backup camera now has delay in video coming on

Just got back from our second multi-day trip with our 1995 Pace Arrow and loving this RV program -- yeah! But the old girl has suddenly developed a lag in the Panasonic backup camera turning on. When I first start up, I get a gray screen. After a several minutes, I start to see a faint image...

What is best for towing, tow bar, tow dolly, or trailer

DOH!  That explains it. And it looks like the simple is "no", don't back up. Thanks

What is best for towing, tow bar, tow dolly, or trailer

Ironically, the only thread that comes up when I search any combination of "dolly" and "reverse, back up, back or backing" is this one. But thanks for pointing out the search function. ;)

What is best for towing, tow bar, tow dolly, or trailer

One poster mentioned a benefit of trailer being that you can back it: is that also the case for a dolly or is a dolly just as "unbackable" as a 4-down tow. (No intent to hijack this thread, but I thought it fit the discussion -- which I am similarly interest in as I consider my toad options ...

    starts,wont start...cantfind first post

I had an issue that sounds identical on my '94 Ford 460. Would run fine all morning then stall out and was close to impossible to start without an hour or 2 of rest and cooling off. Common conditions were: altitude above 6k', outside temps in the 80s+, mid day or later and after several hours of...

Sway bars -- replace, restore or keep driving

Just got '95 Pace Arrow (32') back from the shop and the mechanic is recommending we "keep an eye on" the rear sway bars as they are either missing or have some damaged rubber fittings. He recommends not replacing them now, so now I'm wondering if this is a shade tree repair I can schedule for...

2,500 miles Yellowstone shakedown, breakdown report

You asked for photos, so here's a video slide show link. It's a complete record, but it gives a hint at some of the cool stuff we saw/did. Runs about 7 minutes -- but I won't be offended if you choose to skip the boring parts --  ;D http://youtu.be/IenVDmjXmzg BTW: Turns out I needed a fuel...
