    Safety first

My mind was saying pretty much the same thing. For the cost, the protection is not a real big bang for the buck. I had not heard of this product before my salesperson wanted my opinion. Thanks for the help.

    Safety first

Can some of my forum family give me some input about the Proteng auto fire protection system? Like all products "it looks good on paper" especially when they're wanting you to buy. It seems like a bit over kill but safety first plays big. Thanks for your words of wisdom.

Kwikee Power Step Module - 172 vs 140

Welcome to the RV Forum. You'll really like the people here. You can use a magnet to check the door sensor. Just hold it against the door jam where the sensor is.

    Furnace operation

Didn't get a chance to have control board tested. The spade clip for the electrode lead on the control board was loose so I replaced it and brushed the ignitor coil terminal. There's only one furnace but it looks like removing the electrode isn't all that difficult. I'll get a new electrode when...

    Furnace operation

Got ya. Yes the electrode goes into the flame. This is a real learning experience. Thanks to all for the help. I know it's not cold now, but if it's there it should work, right >:(

    Furnace operation

Thanks Gary. More troubleshooting: Remove and cleaned draft cap assembly, cleaned blower blades, got 13.45VDC, sail switch works, cleaned board connections, plenty of gas. 12VDC at gas valve until flame stops (just like you said). Will take control board to have it checked at local RV repair...

    Furnace operation

That's the guide I referenced that didn't address cleaning intake / exhaust. But you're right about Gary's presentation. If I had his brain I wouldn't need my money, oh wait  :P I don't have money.

    Furnace operation

There seems to be good air output but it's not hot. Haven't done any testing yet. They just got back from a long weekend with it and I was going to use it. Wanted to start with the simplest fix and work into it.

    Furnace operation

The Atwood 8940-III- DCLP in my adopted 5r was working good until the owner had a professional RV inspection on it. Now it fires but want burn. The blower comes on, ignitor fires and I hear a burst of flame but no sustained heat. I'm thinking blocked intake or exhaust but can't find anything on...

    Propane auto change over regulator

Thanks Lou, I did hear a click so you may have it on the nose. Lesson learned is as good as money in the bank :).

    Propane auto change over regulator

Maybe I just don't understand: twin 30lb tanks, one goes empty the regulator automatically feeds from other tank? Indicator shows red, turn handle to servicing tank. Problem: Indicator stays red (empty) and stove will only burn at lower than low flame (very low pressure).             Fill and...

Mounting a TV in the bedroom?

When I changed out my bedroom TV, I used a 1/2 in plumbing flange and hung it from the bottom of a cabinet. Had to use a little backwoods engineering to mount the panel plate. Worked fine.

    HWH leveling jacks leaking

Absolutely agree with Utclmjmpr. The first thing to try is transmission stop leak. Even if it doesn't stop the leak, it sure is cheaper and quicker than a rebuild.

Lost rear brake lights and rear running lights on my RV

Sounds like a problem I had on my Eagle. The fuse/relay panel had moved and the pin for the rear lights had pulled out from the bottom of the relay (where the relay plugs into the panel). Had to actually glue the pin back into the panel to keep the relay from pushing it back out the bottom.

    Propane fill valve

I would think that any LP store would have the valve and could install it also. My local dealer that fills my home tank replaced a change over valve on a 5W for me.
