2000 Fleetwood Discovery with Cummins- where is the water separator located?

It was frame mounted forward of the engine 2 feet, on the off side from the tank. Plenty of room to slide under on the grass and hardly a drop accumulated. Thanks again :)

    Towing weight question

Do beware of inaccurate weights as represented by the manufacturer. I have plenty of truck to handle the extra weight of our new used trailer, but was not anywhere near what I was expecting. It had axles for 7000 and a gvwr of 8081, but the pin weight was a solid 1500 with some gear in the...

thank you Gary. So it may be anywhere along the line? Good news is this coach is on my lawn, so not too bad to look under.

    Holding Tank Repairs

Bill, I did the same with my tank fitting. The whole thing cracked out and I used 3 layers of 4 oz. cloth. The only difference is I layed the cloth on a smooth surface and pre-wetted it with glue to be sure it was wet. Then I peeled if off that surface and applied and smoothed it out using...

    Winterized my keystone cougar

Sam, on some rigs the pickup for the pump is a little high, and you have to buy a whole bunch of the pink stuff to get any into your piping. At the end of winter, you have to drain it out and either save it in the jugs or waste it.

    Rv park snobbery

I've had a similar experience.  ;D Thanks in no small part to this site, I now have boondocker's welcome, all the California fairgrounds, and countless other places I would be welcome at with any RV. I really do want to thank you folks.

If you could choose the perfect rv what would it be?

I "plan" on building my own. So far the plan has changed 5 times, so I would suggest that this is a very mobile target. :D

    Excited About Your Forum!

One of the cooler things I found here was boondocker's welcome, it is in the link in my signature. I have not yet stayed with others because of trip changes, but we have hosted a couple of families and it was fine.

Looking for the best fifth wheel for full time traveling the states

Just my opinion and worth less than two cents: Don't buy what you can tow, or tow safely, or is inside the ratings. Buy what is enough space for you and aim for less weight. As you approach the maximum tow values it becomes more like work and less like retirement and vacation, especially around...

Best vehicle to use as a toad

We have a couple of diesel beetles but don't tow them. I do coast in neutral engine on, and the transmission does not have an oil pump in it so I can't see a problem. Here are some other MK IV folks towing flat. http://community.fmca.com/topic/1334-towing-a-vw-beetle-manual-transmission/

    exhaust brake question

I have nothing to add except for anecdotal examples. Great Post, Ken. I cross Chinook Pass regularly with my truck and 5th wheel. If I am at the proper speed, I only touch the brake pedal in a couple of places and to warn others that I am going slower as they approach. It is a great feeling to...
