    Glen Canyon Nat'l Recreation Area

Karl, If you want less touresty. I would stick with Bullfrog. Mind you. If you go on a busy weekend there will be lots of people. March, April and October are my favorite times to go. No people. The Painted Hills RV park can handle rigs up to 50'. You could take your rig down to Stanton left...

    Glen Canyon Nat'l Recreation Area

There are full hookups at Bullfrog. See link: http://www.lakepowell.com/campgrounds.php#rvparks. Bullfrog is more remote than Wahweep. No close towns, but pretty much everything you need. Wahweep and Page are more touresty. More people also. Page is a nice little town with all amenities and...

    Glen Canyon Nat'l Recreation Area

It is a big place, and one of my favorites. Generally you have two access points for RV camping. Bullfrog on the north central end and Page, AZ on the south end. Both places have several options for camping with an RV. Your best bet to see it is to rent a boat and go sightseeing or take a boat...

Can you tow a 5th wheel with a 'normal' tailgate

You may or may not be able to walk around the back of the truck with the tailgate down. I can on my setup. I just drop my tailgate, but this spring I will be getting a cheap notched tailgate because my pin box will contact the tailgate in a turn if my slider is back.

Kipor Digital Generator KGE3500ti 'vs' Honda

Well, I bought my Kipor 3000ti for $1200 and thought I was getting a good deal. I ran it for 30 hours next to a Honda 3000eu and couldn't tell the difference. So far I'm happy. Make sure it's jetted right for whatever altitude you are at. I do suggest reading the Kipor thread posted above.

    removing grease/fat from cooking liquids

Fat separators work well also, but it's hard to find a high capacity one. That's a good field expedient tip I will log in my brain.

Need advice from all the girls out there

I bought a Diaper Genie for our bathroom. We all use the "wipies" so that's where they go as well.

Code Three - Lights and Siren. Unique Experience!

Question on Vial of Life. How come the FAQ states to put it IN the refrigerator? The VOL website says to put it ON the outside with the stickers. Makes more sense to me. The EMS folks could see it.

You got it. Just burning her in. Let it run until the smell goes away and monitor it closely.

Baja info needed by new full timers

I have never RV'd down there, but I have tent camped in a wonderful resort with RV parking. It's called Martin Verdugos. It's south of La Paz, but might be worth looking at. They have really updated it since I was there from the looks of thier website. Real nice folks. We were invited to a...

    I've picked a 5th wheel hitch!

Just make sure the truck, hitch, and pinbox combination is compatible. My in laws just had a "new" brand of 5er hitch installed and you can't slide it back without hitting the tailgate. Problem soved with a 5er tailgate though. I went with the Reese Quick Slide and installed it myself. Still...

Sounds like I need to just get a little more road time in before I start changing stuff.

    Check my thinking on this

I will do that if necessary. I would probably rather raise the hitch for clearance and remove the hitch head if I need to close the bed cover. Removing the hitch head is easier than removing the tailgate ;D
