Hi
Well we are finally here on our holes in the rented RV
When we picked it up they kept on saying 89 octane fuel or higher, now that did not seem right to me so I googled it and for this RV it just kept saying regular fuel.
It is a winibago Minnie Winnie with the ford engine
Why would they say...
Forgot to say, when we rented there was a walk through to check everything was ok first and we agreed on certain things that was wrong, like a small tear in the fabric, a scratch on the table etc etc. we inspected it thoroughly as well just to make sure.
Then when we returned it they did an...
We Hired last year when visiting/Holiday, all money is paid up front. the only other money they take is money off your credit card which is returnable at the end of the trip.
They too 1K off us and we got it all back at the end not a problem, we used a well known RV renting company and could not...
Seriously rethink what you want from this trip.
I live in UK and did a coast to coast trip 2 years ago with 1 week in the RV just to see if we liked it or not, when we had the car mile munching was fine but in the RV it was a different story.
We are back again next year with 16 days in the RV...
Thanks for all the great replies i will check them all out.
Thanks for the idea but we are on a nice little road trip seeing as much of your beautiful country along the way, we are heading out from Denver along I 70 then up to Vernal on the way to SLC then up to Grizzly RV park in Yellowstone...
We will be visiting Salt lake city in may on our way from Denver to Yellowstone Park, I have been looking for some decent RV parks closeish to the city but all I seem to fine are residential sites etc.
Can any of you good people recommend a couple of decent RV parks around the area?
Also...
I suppose the only way to get what you want without all the gadgets and white goods is to have a RV custom built to what you need as opposed to what the manufacturer thinks you need.
A Lot of you guys have had RV's for years so i understand your pain but coming from a person that rented their...
Funny enough I just put them two destinations into google maps and what you suggested is the actual route google came up with, I did do Albuquerque to Flagstaff last year and there was some interesting sites along the way.
If you do use I40 then turn off at Gallup and visit the El Rancho...
Coming from a person living in Guernsey Channel islands we will be renting again next year to go touring.
I was amazed the last time we rented from a big rental dealer (not someone renting their own RV) and the RV was just over a year old and it was a bit worse for wear in places, the steering...
I did a one way rental from Dallas to vegas last year, I think it was around $600 extra on the rental for the one way trip.
That was with El Monte,
Like said above there a few companies that do one way trips and all charge different rates so do your homework and get the best deal.
WOW thank you for such an interesting write up, I know we will not get to see everything even in the three days staying there and driving a car around the park. but I am hoping to see wild life when there.
I will check out all the places you mentioned and if we can fit them in we certainly will...
