Is Anyone Happy With Their New Class C?

We are very happy with our Winnebago Minnie Winnie. It is a 2018 model and they still make them today (gas). They actually make a budget version as well as the Minnie Winnie version. Ours is five seasons old and we’ve had only a couple of minor issues. Is it the same quality as a super C? No...

    Levelling pad fell off

Ya got me on the sensor location…others swill have to chime in, but, my educated guess is the sensor is “in” the control panel you use to actuate the jacks…again, a guess.

    Levelling pad fell off

The missing pad should not affect how the system works…. level is determined by a sensor or sensors. I see many place a plastic pad or a piece of wood underneath one of the corners to get a little bit more extension out of one of the jacks. All that being said, I’m basing that off how the...

    3m VHB tape

After recently reading about some folks mounting solar panels on the roof of their RV with only VHB tape, I decided to mount my PL7000 Dish satellite the same way. It weighs about7 lbs. I completely covered one side of (4) 3x3x0.5 inch thick 6061 aluminum pads with 4950 tape, each with a...

    Lets talk water filtration.

“The most common cause of smelly water is anaerobic bacteria that exist in some water and react with the magnesium and aluminum sacrificial anodes that come with most water heaters to produce hydrogen sulfide gas, making the classic rotten egg odor” In addition to maybe helping out the...

    De-winterizing help

Not saying your noise is normal, but do you know what “normal” sounds like? Ours is not quiet but sounds like pretty much everyone I’ve ever heard. Listen to a friend or neighbor’s and compare.

    Abbreviations on forums

In my first couple weeks at a new job, where there are well over 100 TLA’s, I was in a meeting and everyone was speaking them so quickly and frequently I soon had no idea what they were saying. I interjected and said “what does this TLA mean?”. They chastised me soundly, all laughed, then...

GM will stop building vehicles with tailpipes in 13 years and 11 months.

… And we’ll be completely converted to the metric system by the year 1980. Well, that hasn’t fully happened yet, and that was easy compared to converting everything to electric vehicles. In my opinion, the cart’s ahead of the horse. Way, way too many things that have to be done to make...

    Thanks to the moderators

I laughed at the ?test? words some of you posted.  Some folks, it seems, are always ready for a fight when they hear that special word (whatever that may be). DW has a very large family and at a 4th of July gathering years ago all the BIL?s were drinking a few later in the evening when the...

    Inverter question

Ours died in our Winnebago class C after two years? Don?t know if that?s normal but seems to line up with yours.  When it warms up a little more I?m going to pull it out and see what?s wrong with it.

Slides in the cold and snow?

I think some of you have forgotten what cold is. It was six below zero yesterday morning here in Iowa.  It was +12 last night and we got about 3 inches of snow.  And those are old fashion Fahrenheit numbers. Lots of rubber and plastic things that have to move and flex when you open the slides...

Has Covid Vaccine Arrived in Your Area Yet?

Wife got her first shot today.  Works in healthcare but not front line.  Pfizer. Second dose scheduled for 3 weeks.  She?s not feeling so good right now...hope that passes soon.

Purchasing a used class C Motorhome

Are you trying to determine if this particular motorhome has a good track record, whether it’s the right size/ configuration, or whether you should buy a class C instead of another class of RV, or, yes?

Check your HW heater for an anode!

Generally the goal in softening water is not about changing PH. The PH level of hard and soft water is a function of what is traded during the ion exchange.  It's not a process where the goal is changing PH. Softening removes minerals (metals per the periodic table) that tend to have a very bad...
