    "Jacks Down" alarm is constant

Gentlemen, Gentlemen, now settle down :-) I promise to post pictures as soon as Italy workout that WIFI is a useful tool. I have been absent from the forum due to zero WIFI and due to the presence of WIFI but it wasn't working in the sites (damn Italians ;-) ). However............my life just...

    "Jacks Down" alarm is constant

Thanks guys, Due to time constraints and the outside temp in the late 90's I disabled the alarm. This worked as a temp fix however I am not in a good place to inspect the jack (ants everywhere). We are moving on to Sicily tomorrow so hopefully I will get chance to get underneath. As always...

    "Jacks Down" alarm is constant

Gents, Thanks for all your advice (point taken about the Italians :-) ). I am going to drop the RV off the jacks today and move on to hard standing to check out the wiring/fluid levels. Will keep you posted to my findings, many thanks again

Fuel Prices in Italy (At the Weekend)

All, If any of you are out in Italy this little bit of info may be of interest to you. We have been filling the RV up with petrol during the week as this is when we tend to move, however we found out that there is currently a price war going on over here and the two petrol stations (AGIP & Q8)...

    "Jacks Down" alarm is constant

Steve, Don't get me started on AutoPark, after the jack incident the AP failed spraying hydraulic fluid under the coach and applying the brake on the motorway. After 40 mins on the hard shoulder and a top up of fluid we were able to limp in to Macon. At Macon I took the AP apart and removed the...

    "Jacks Down" alarm is constant

Capt Steve, Many thanks for your rapid response, I will check the top of the jack. With regard to checking the fluid level, I made this mistake when we were travelling through France. The rear right Jack would not retract so I checked the levels. It wasn't even registering on the dipstick so I...

    "Jacks Down" alarm is constant

All, After fueling up I pulled out of the service station and across the main road in Naples, Italy. We had had a long drive and my brain was not not fully engaged so I didn't notice the big dip in the road as I pulled out. The result was that I drove one of the jacks in to the (freshly laid)...

Stuck in Italy with 6 amps!

Gents, Quick update, just bumped in to a German guy camping next to us. I was talking about the a/c and he said his runs fine. Upon a deeper conversation he suggested that I changed the refrigerator over to gas and then try the a/c. Well hey presto it fired up and I am typing whilst under a...

Stuck in Italy with 6 amps!

Guys, The hot Plug scenario sent a shiver down my spine. Think I will go for the larger breaking instead of the prison sentence. Really really appreciate everyone's help. Now to find an Italian hardware store  :o

Stuck in Italy with 6 amps!

Guys much appreciate your responses. The main driver is to get the a/c working, it's 9am and 100 degrees. Wizard, are you saying that with the twin plug if one circuit (socket) tripped out this would heat the other plug. My thinking is that it would only be 6amps running the the other socket...

Stuck in Italy with 6 amps!

Hi all, We are doing the 6 Mth tour of Italy and most of the sites offer between 3-6 amps of shore power. I can even run the kettle at this rate not to mention the a/c. My wife and I were looking at the hook up points and noticed that the main breaker is rated at 40 amps and then splits down to...

A Big Thank You To All

Captsteve, Oh yeah she has, now in the South of France. Had the Autopark fail on the motorway part way through France, triangle out, the wife to be and cat sheltering behind the barrier. Limped off the motorway to a site and managed to bypass the hydraulic system. All appears to be good now so...

A Big Thank You To All

Well, 3mths have flown by since the RV arrived and many a job has been completed thanks to the support of this site/members. Just yesterday I was removing the blockage in the grey tanks as it would not empty and the month before the black tank, it's now second nature. What I have done to the...
