Tire wear, axle problem or other?

take it to an alignment shop. an automotive alignment shop can do the measurements but probably wont have the equipment to bend the axle as needed. you will need a heavytruck/trailer shop for that

    Hot water from both faucets!

another couple of off-beat suggestions. check valve in the top of the water heater? water heater hooked up backwards? i realize that these two items shouldn't have the effects spoken of here but... stranger things have happened.

Damaged shore power cord. Replace original pull out or install plug type

we have had both pullout and plugin type cords. our present trailer has a plug in cord with a male twist lock on the trailer side, it also has a locking ring. after 5 years, i prefer the detachable cord over the push in. when travelling everyday the cord and water hose both get thrown the back...

    New Bathroom Door

the hardware came from lowes in canada but i' sure its pretty common. the door came from habitat for humanity. i had to cut the top and bottom off and fill in the resulting cavities top and bottom, i also added wood inside the door where the wheel brackets are bolted on. i made the wood...

    RV electric/propane fridge

good to know this stuff if you need to spend a couple of nights with no hookups. it has happened to us!

    RV electric/propane fridge

since i had it all hooked up, i tried the water heater as well. on propane the heater uses about 14 watts, again just for the gas valve and control circuit on 120 VAC, the heater uses 1400 watts

    RV electric/propane fridge

more of an observation than a question regarding power consumption of an rv fridge i plugged my trailer into housemains using "kilowatt power meter" and made the following observations fridge shutoff completely, so just the charger in the trailer keeping the battery up, ac draw is 30 watts...

    Weber BBQ with Quick Connect

we have a brand new weber traveller bbq that hooks directly to a 20# propane cylinder. I want to add a quick connect to the trailer propane system and use the bbq with it. do i need to remove the regulator on the bbq, i assume so!

    New Bathroom Door

Exactly. any travellers worst nighmare words, "honey, i have to go RIGHT NOW" and who is going to open the slideout at the side of the road. really dumb design, they could have moved the original door 18 inches over and the problem would be resolved. i would have done that but the wiring for...

    New Bathroom Door

thanks, been a professional carpenter/cabinet maker all my life, so this is easy stuff! made the drawers under the dinette (in the slideout) too and some other little additions too

    New Bathroom Door

one thing that always annoyed us about our older kz spree 260 was that with the slideout in for travel, you could not access the bathroom! more frequent quickie bathroom stops are a sign of older age and we always had to open the slideout! so, i fixed it! gone is the old hinged door with a...

    Changing to LiFePO4 Battery

that's an option i had not considered. a suitable sized inverter in the truck and run ac to the trailer which would have an ac to dc charger. the ac wiring could be much smaller than that required for 12vdc for the same wattage sent to the trailer. the truck has a small inverter but it's only...

    Changing to LiFePO4 Battery

a dc to dc charger with separate cables from the truck is what i was thinking

    Changing to LiFePO4 Battery

these points are my understanding too. a Li battery will maintain nominal voltage much better, both at high discharge and when almost discharged. i expect that our 15 year old propane/120 fridge is at the end of it's useful life and is basically obselete. a 12 volt compressor fridge is likely...

    Changing to LiFePO4 Battery

we will have two power sources for the dc to dc for a while, the truck alternator with suitable cables to the trailer and the trailer converter. i believe that the trailer converter can supply 20A to the dc to dc charger but the charger can be adjusted for a lower charge rate. we will add an...
