    Screen door protection

this worked for us and still allowed a breeze to come in. Plastic lattice on both sides of the screen with small machine screws drilled through to connect the two pieces.

    Finally I'm a SnowBird

Ride safe.  ;)  After living there, I found myself riding less and less because of distracted drivers.  >:( Glad I cleared out.

    question about dust at Quartzsite

I've never seen any dust storms at Q like the ones that seem to hit Imperial dam LTVA.

Why not a light trailer for a dinghy vehicle?

maybe I just stay in the right campgrounds for I have never had an issue with having a trailer. I'm currently towing the trailblazer EXT on a 20' open trailer. no problems. I have also towed our 24' enclosed trailer out west and stayed in a couple of campgrounds without issue. However, I much...

I put a double wall hugger recliner and a single along with a small table. Worked fine even in the slide.  :D

    Propane tank filling problem

I' leaning toward the station guy doing something wrong. (hopefully he didn't cross thread the adapter and ruin your rv tank fitting).  pretty sure a 2000 model rv has had the propane tank filled before so I would have to doubt the wrong angle story.

    Wire for Inverter

If I'm reading this correctly, I don't think it'll work. my inverter is connected to my batteries with 2.0 cable and is only 4 feet from them. Everthing I have heard about inverter connections say's heavy cable/short runs are best. That said, I have never tried using lighter wire so maybe...

    Small LP tank usage

extend a stay unit is what you're looking for. They work great, but, when you hook up the external tank, you have to turn off the coach tank, (if you don't, they will equalize) and when you need to refill the portable, you have to turn on the coach tank. A minor inconvenience when you figure ...

    mixing batteries

Good answers and many thanks.  :) A little background. The 6v. batts are now 5 years old and are due to be replaced soon. When I do, I'm going to go to a 6 battery bank of 6v. However, I just wanted to experiment with the 12v. to see if this could work in the real world, and now seemed to be a...

    mixing batteries

I'm about to add two 12v. 105ah ea. deep cycle batteries to my battery bank to get a little extra amp hours. (why you ask... because I have them and hate to see them go to waste)  ;) I already have four 6v. GC batteries in series parallel. I'm wondering if anyone has done it in an rv. Right now...

    RV Security

I don't know about newer units, but my 2005 and my 2007 both use a regular key. nothing fancy about them. It could just be that some meth heads were looking for a easy mark to set up a mobile lab.

    Car dolly brakes

There are two answers.. LEGALLY. it depends on where you live. and I can't give a better answer than that. Some states trailers 2,000 pounds or even lighter need brakes. Some 4,000 or more  And yes a car in tow IS A TRAILER. I'll use Ca dmv law as an example. section 29003 Every hitch...

    Car dolly brakes

Oh my God... I'm a criminal and didn't even know it. My tow dolly has no brakes, and I took it to Ca. once. Not only that, but, using this logic, my tow vehicle wasn't Ca. emission certified either, so I guess that makes me a two time criminal. Give me a break.
