New Winnebago View Owner with questions for the group

Never felt the need for chains. Fitting them would be difficult as attaching to a car is bad enough. I drove through this and here we are parked up, at -13c approx 9f.

Outside tv. Love it. You will be your neighbours best friend, I think not.  8).  ;D

Wet bays after driving in heavy rain.

As it is a 2015, assuming it was bought from a dealer, I would take it back and give them the problem. Lockers are not supposed to leak, poor manufacture. Here in the UK, that is called "not fit for purpose".

Yes, everything ran on gas. The only 12v supply, you might have, was taken from the car battery and a long bit of volt reducing wire.  8)

Assessing dented cans of pet food

For any can that has been breached, it will be possible to push in the ends, a bit like a kids clicky toy.

    Yes and all around.  :)

    Crammed in like sardines

In the UK, when you are parked up, with all your stuff out, there has to be at least a 3m gap as a fire break, between each unit. EU Elf and Safetey.  :o

As did mine Tom. Gas mantle lights and it was always Sunday lunchtime when the gas cylinder ran out and the farmer would charge an arm and a leg for a refill. My Dad, god love him, always had his full Sunday roast no matter where we were. Can you imagine doing that in a 60's type caravan, my Mum...

Indeed Tom, I hope you and your wandering Welsh family are well.  8) 16A now is much more common. Capacities start at 5A mainly in a tenting field and then 10A often found on private sites, but on the Caravan Club also the Caravan & Camping Club it is all 16A. Many private sites are also...

    SLIDEOUT ISSUE - 2012 WINNEBAGO VISTA 35F

If it is like our Sightseer, the bedroom slide is a mechanical lead screw. Try winding it out a bit by hand as it may just be stuck at the end of the screw. Sort of done up too tight and the motor can't move it. Ours was like that new, but having moved it, a liberal and regular application of...

Importing an RV into the UK

Indeed. Remember the American RV sized vehicle in the UK is a rarity and so not greatly catered for. Legally our maximum length is 12m, 12ft 4ins. The norm is a Eurovan or a simple caravan which are relatively small, by comparison, and have a cassette type toilet and a small grey tank. To empty...

Slick new water gauge, but maybe not for Murican's

It is probable that it works in Imperial Gallons, about 4.5L, not the American smaller gallon. But then they are also dam colonials and I might be wrong.  8).  ;D

Thank you, that is very kind. Almost all pitches will have 240v electrical connection, with various capacities up to 16A. A water supply is sometimes on the pitch, I carry a very long hose (100m), for when it is not. To get a waste drain , although not impossible, is rare and mainly when it is...

Ok I need a vehicle to use when my RV is hooked up at a campground-What should I

How about on of these ? About 500kg in weight.  ;D  8)  http://www.aixam.co.uk/en/3d-configurator You would have to put it on a trailer because it is not possible to "A" Frame them.  :o

On site, you would get short shrift if you start up an Onan generator. You might, if you are lucky, get away with a baby Honda for a short time.
