Air Conditioner (Coleman Mach) Not Working - Advice Needed

Agreed.  The hum makes me suspect the capacitor as well.  New ones usually run around $25 or so online and are easily be replaced in just a few minutes.  WARNING - If you've never dealt with capacitors before, either do some reading/video watching or find someone who knows how to work with them...

    Dometic DuoTherm A/C Help

and hopefully the final update... I have A/C!  Since everything on the roof looked god, all connections looked good, fan/motor spin freely, etc. I figured it couldn't hurt to do some exploring inside.  So, I took the inside roof panel off and started exploring.  The error code was for either...

    Dometic DuoTherm A/C Help

New capacitor arrived early so I was able to do the install this morning.  Good and bad:  Fan motor now starts and runs normally (so the cap was bad), but the "E5" error is again flashing.  The trailer is plugged into my dedicated 30amp circuit and voltage is 120.4.  Next step is to start...

    Dometic DuoTherm A/C Help

Yup, thanks.  Did a bunch of searching and reading about surge protectors and EMS's and ordered my PI EMS-PT30X today.  There's an amazing range of prices on these but the best deal I found was $234.97 (free shipping, no sales tax).  It's already on its way.

    Dometic DuoTherm A/C Help

UPDATE After thinking it through some more, I'm leaning more and more towards the idea that we had bad power/low voltage at the last campground, thus triggering the error code and eventually damaging the A/C unit. This morning I pulled the housing and the capacitor.  After discharging it, I...

    Dometic DuoTherm A/C Help

Trailer A/C:  2012 Dometic DuoTherm 13.5BTU roof mount, ducted with 3313192 LCD thermostat Status:  Plugged in to 30 amp service.  When turned on, thermostat displays temp setting, no error codes but fan does not run and a humming sound can be heard (like binding motor). History:  Purchased...

    Power Tongue Jack

We replaced the manual jack on our FunFinder 214WSD with a 4500lb Husky Brute.  It was a quick and easy replacement and works great.  It's a bit overkill on the weight rating requirement, but I figure I'd rather have more capacity than needed than less, plus as mentioned above it makes...

Replacing a fresh water cap to a valve

Great point.  I'm currently in the process of repairing a crack in the freshwater tank of our new (to us) TT.  The crack is right at and around the drain fitting.  My guess is that it was struck at some point as it does protrude down about an inch and a half from the tank.  Once I fix the crack...

Well, we did it (Finally found a TT)

Update to close out the thread: Did the tires about three weeks ago  Was all set to order from Discount Tire and in a last minute online search found that Sam's Club had a Goodyear promo of $20 off (per tire) so I ordered a set of four. They came in two days later and I made an appointment for...

Ours has (had) a sticker on the underside of the fwd upright arm up near the top.  It's about 3/4" tall X 4" long.

    Electric Dometic Awning Model Info

Thanks for the link.  That site gets a little closer in that it recognizes the MFG/PNC and gives parts listing for the MFG No., but the strange thing is that all manuals and info sheets that come up are for manual awnings (8500, 9500, and plus series).  Still no joy on finding anything more for...

    Electric Dometic Awning Model Info

Hi all - Looking for a little help.  I'm getting ready to order and replace the awning fabric on our new (to us) FunFinder.  One thing I'm having trouble determining is the exact model awning I have.  It's a 14' (arm to arm) power awning, the Dometic/A&E sticker on it says: MFG No...

Well, we did it (Finally found a TT)

Making progress.  I ordered my 1/10k Equal-i-zer hitch yesterday.  Now I'm focussing on tires.  Been doing a bunch of reading and search for tires and I'm down to three (all are 205-75-R14, and all include shipping but not local mount/balance/disposal): Goodyear Endurance D1  $107.99 each ($50...

2016 GMC Sierra 1500 w/ Tow Package Towing Questions

I asked this same question on several different boards over the past few days and the overwhelming recommendation was the Equal-i-zer.  The price for a 1/10k with ball directly from Equal-i-zer is $815, but I did a bunch of searching and found it online for about $460 shipped (adventureRV out of...
