Want to upgrade interior lighting, but want to get away from white fixtures...

The problem with the ones I have already, is they are the original ones, so the reflectors are very discolored from over 20 years of heat. As said, of course, we have good spray paint, but I still worry about wear from use (paint scraping off around the switches), even if I get new ones. And I...

Want to upgrade interior lighting, but want to get away from white fixtures...

So, we have done a LOT of remodeling to our TT. One of the biggest things I have left is the lighting. We want to get away from white fixtures, but have had very little luck finding anything decent. I am thinking about possibly replacing the fixtures under cabinets (over the bed/couch/sink, etc)...

New carpet/padding - Tack strips or staples? Curved transition strips?

Figured I would give an update on here. I'm having issues adding pictures, because my internet is iffy at the moment, but I posted pictures here if you want to see: http://www.irv2.com/forums/f50/remodeling-update-pictures-199427.html I used a couple z-bar snipped to get the curve, and covered...

New carpet/padding - Tack strips or staples? Curved transition strips?

I am going to be installing new carpet this weekend hopefully. We got a good deal on a color we absolutely loved, plus good padding for cheap. For those who have installed new carpet in their RV, what works better: tack strips or folding the edges of the carpet and stapling? It is a pretty...

    My Weekend

No, I didn't. And they chewed me a new one about it. Our youngest kept trying to help, though. Nothing like a cat under-foot in tight spaces surrounded by saws, screws and boards. I do think they like the end-result though. Both our oldest and youngest are really intrigued by the bed lifting...

    My Weekend

New updates on the projects. Almost done. I am actually applying the polyurethane right now. http://www.irv2.com/forums/f50/my-weekend-remodel-image-heavy-193504.html#post1943893

    My Weekend

As I can't post pictures within the post, and I'm too lazy to rewrite my post to work with attachments, I figured I would link to my post on another site. I don't have my software right now to post to my site like I did with our last RV remodel, so this method will have to do. Long story short...

    Mirror- Mirror

Just tried finding the Smart Tiles. They are at Home Depot, not Lowes, for anyone who is interested. I may look into these further :)

Where can I find wall paneling?

Man, I miss Menards :[ I did a lot of researching today, and I came across the contact paper that is usually used. I am thinking of just buying some underlayment and figuring out what I need for the covering. Don't suppose anyone knows what style "wood" color paneling Dutchmen used in their...

Where can I find wall paneling?

I need to replace a section of wall paneling in our bedroom, and for a couple projects in the rv. I refuse to use hardboard. I used it in our last rv remodel, and decided I never will again. I want the stuff that is usually used in rvs, the thin plywood-style paneling. Does anyone know where I...

Leak or melting ice inside A/C?

Purchased a new dehumidifier a few days ago, and it works better than our other one ever did. No sign of condensation anywhere, including behind the shades in the bedroom, where there has always been at least some dampness on the metal trim. Even with snow still on the roof, there has been no...

Leak or melting ice inside A/C?

A day or two before the leak, we noticed condensation in some of the cupboards, mainly in the bedroom (cooler in there), and condensation on the metal trim of the windows, again mostly in the bedroom (including a few spots of frozen condensation on the trim). The area with ice buildup in the A/C...

Leak or melting ice inside A/C?

I had vent covers on the last RV, but after costs of a new toilet, skirting the TT for the winter, and waiting on selling the older RV, we didn't have the spare cash for them. Now that the other RV sold, I might pick them up and just loose-set them over the vents for the winter, and attach in...

Leak or melting ice inside A/C?

Forgot to mention I noticed the one accessible bolt wasn't "tight" and I could tighten it another 20 turns or so. After I'm done defrosting/drying it out up there with the fan, I am going to drop the A/C and check the other 3 bolts. Possible culprit? Not sure if tightening that one bolt affected...
