Are you kidding me? You are looking at a 30 yr. old MH,
are you gonna camp in your yard. NO you are going to
take the family to FL. for a couple of wks. Better take a
couple of credit cards, and have you GOOD SAM road
side churance card.
This is not the way to start RV'n, IMHO!
I owned an 88...

and when on Gen. power I have 50 amps.

is 14 amps. when the second compressor comes on
the amp draw will drop to 12 amp.
When Gen. runs on shore power (30 amp) my amp
draw is high teens...
I am thinking that 23 amps. is 10 amps higher than my basement air.
As I remember with ever other draw CLOSE to 1/2 amps.

I opened up the charger under the oven, checked the 2 --30amp
fuses, both good. But there was now 12 volts on a large BLACK
wire coming to the charger...
I had the same problem 15 yrs. ago with my basement air.
Ran me around in circle for some time, even took it back
for poor A/C on a hot day. I paid them to till me it was
working fine.
After much ado, and a learning curve, I found that the
colemen thermostat was NOT picking up the second...
Now a NEW problem, I have NO 12 volts in the camper...unless the coach
is plugged in to 120 volts, or on Gen. power
Got a clue, as I do NOT hear the relay activate when I plug and unplug
the power cable into 120 volt line. What relay have a heard for 15 yrs?
On further trouble shooting, the...
Gary, I have the same problem as Heath. I dont remember that
he can hear the relay being activated/deactivated with the sw.
at the door step. I have good clunking sounds, realize that does
NOT mean the relay is good.
