B2 visa - likelihood of being approved?

Hello there, sorry only just seen your reply. We aren't quite ready to go for it yet (it was more a hypothetical question really) but if we do it would be in a couple of years' time.  We are just weighing up our options at the moment (and saving!), trying to decide how long we want to go for...

B2 visa - likelihood of being approved?

Thank you Jackie that is very helpful.  We would be in our mid/late 40's when we apply although we will be taking our 8/9 year old daughter with us too.  Not sure if that is going to be a hindrence in our application or not!

B2 visa - likelihood of being approved?

Thank you Tom.  Unfortunately you cannot call an Embassy and ask, it is only an automated line and there is no way of getting through to a person unless you know their extension. Thanks for the link - I have looked at that but there is nothing about age on there, I saw that on other websites...

B2 visa - likelihood of being approved?

Hello everyone.  I have been looking into getting a B2 visa and on some sites I have read that they don't approve these for people under retirement age (to go travelling around America).  We would have strong ties to the UK which is something they need (own 6 houses, would have enough income to...

A Kiwi (New Zealander) travelling to USA/Canada for 5-6 months

Coming to the UK in February isn't going to be great, it will be wet and cold for at least another 3 if not more months so it depends on what you are going to do when you are in the UK .... (from a Brit in Wales)

Coming from the UK - visa waiver program or B2 visa?

Thanks for that information Sharon  :)  I am not sure I would be quite so brave as you with regard to going backwards and forwards getting an extra 6 months each time - I am sure knowing our luck they wouldn't let us! Gone Roaming - flights usually come out something like 11 months before the...

    Crossing into Mexico

Thanks guys.  I think I should have said, we would be storing the rig in the US and then flying into Cancun for a short stay then out back to the UK.  :)

    Crossing into Mexico

Ha ha thanks! Unfortunately I don't want to be banned from ever entering the US again so I will leave, but I'll be back  ;D

    Crossing into Mexico

Thank you. Well, hopefully, all being well, we will be back for another 6 months (but only 6 months in a rolling year lol! - so hoping to do something like May-Oct each year) so will store the RV for 6 months somewhere.

    Crossing into Mexico

We will be on a B2 visa on probably 6 month visit.  If we cross into Mexico on our way back home i.e. the last 2 weeks of our 6 months and don't cross back into the US but go home to the UK from Mexico, does the 2 weeks in Mexico count as part of the 6 months or is it extra?  Thank you.

Multiple visits on a B2 visa

Hi everyone, I know this has been asked before but I wondered if anyone had any up to date feedback on it? We would like to travel round in an RV for 6 months on our B2 visa (from the UK), leave for 6 months, then come back again for another 6 months and so on.  we would have the financial...

Coming from the UK - visa waiver program or B2 visa?

Thank you both.  I haven't actually looked into Canada at all, but I will do!

Coming from the UK - visa waiver program or B2 visa?

Hi there .... quick question for you please .... We are hoping to come across to the States (from the UK) and were ideally thinking of a year long tour (assuming we can get an extension on our original length of stay), with hopefully another tour of a year-ish afterwards.  Thinking about...

Leaving your RV in the US for a few months before returning?

Thanks Tom!  Wow bet you were definitely sweating re the passport lol!!

Leaving your RV in the US for a few months before returning?

Thanks Tom - a fine line to tread!  What makes it worse is that even if you get the visa, they still might not let you in, and after you've let out your house for a year and made all your plans, to not be let in would be a nightmare!
