So you retired at 62... what are you doing for health insurance?

We have used Blue Cross/Blue Shield for years... even before retirement. I turn 65 next month and have signed up for Medicare, & secondary insurance. DW is three years away from being eligible and will keep her BC/BS until then.

    Chevy Duramax and Allison

We are also a multi Duramax/Allison family; an '02 3500 LB7 (232K miles) and 2 '07 HD 2500 LBZ's with just under 100k on each. New injectors on the '02 around 80k miles and nothing but routine maintenance since. Routine service only on the '07's. All three trucks were purchased used and have...

Recommended 12V compressors for re-inflating tires after air-down

Thanks! We wheel with a guy that has the c02 setup (forget the brand name) and it works well for tools as you mention and resetting beads when needed. Takes up a little more space and is more than we need currently. Edit: found it! http://powertank.com/

Recommended 12V compressors for re-inflating tires after air-down

We use a VIAIR 400p Auto with success on our two Grand Cherokees. Don't underestimate the capability of a GC especially with the QDII... hood's up to add a little PS fluid in the 2nd pic 8)

    Bought a Tow Dolly today.

Gary, I haven't seen it mentioned on this thread but most tie down manufacturer's recommend at least two full wraps of strap around the spool or drum to prevent slippage. This will solve the vast majority of tie down loosening during travels. Just my .02 and experience. Good luck!

Quick question for John Canfield and others towing Jeeps

Bob T, you didn't mention in the OP which model you're considering. I have an '02 TJ Sahara and a '06 Grand Cherokee LTD, both of which we flat tow. The GC exhibits better ride quality both on road and on moderate trails, and the TJ is more capable in more difficult terrain. Both are equipped...

THE Big Larry, I received your PM but cannot reply. An error message pops up saying I can't send PM's? I searched the help topics but can't find a solution. At any rate, thanks for the welcome and rally info! If you have any ideas on the PM situation I'd appreciate the help. Thanks, ~David

Big Bend National Park,Texas Rally - April 17-24

Hi y'all, I may be the guy that Mike's referring to. I joined this forum and made reservations at Maverick Ranch although I haven't received confirmation yet. It's not unusual to have to follow up and I will check back with them in a couple of days. A friend we travel with is trying to squeeze...

    New to this Forum...

A member on another board suggested to join this site and take a look around. We are in our 5th decade of RV ownership although as long time racers we don't have an extensive background in conventional camping. Our racing has slowed down and we are looking forward to spending more time in the...
