Yes.  I do hear a click when I set to the "off" position. Also, I have had to use the "boost" switch on the dash to utilize the house batteries when starting. 

On this model, just inside the entrance door - by the bottom step there are switches to turn on / off the chassis battery, house battery, awning lights, extend / retract awning, and control the power step.
