Awing Connector Pulling Away from tent trailer

I am trying to repair my torn awning bag, so until I get it fixed, I merely flip it on top of the camper and put 2 tie-downs across the top of the camper.  Then I get to drive with peace of mind.  Just an idea if you can't get to this right away.

Awning slide strip ripped from bag - Another "Awn with the wind" saga!

We have your typical slide-in bag with awning on our popup.  During a wind storm, it ripped the actual slide strip for the roof from the bag.  It is REALLY thick plastic, as you all know.  How the heck do I sew it or repair it without a heavy duty sewing machine and no sewing/upholstery company...

    Fun Morning

Let's just say I have a renewed passion for linoleum.  Just imagine what it would've been like with carpet!

    Fun Morning

I had a fun morning as well.  My 100+lb black lab ate something that didn't agree with her.  She had the runs from one end of our camper to the other... then had no where to lay down but IN IT!  :o  Now THAT was a fun morning!!!

    Portable A/C - "Self-evaporating" question

That sounds like enough info to convince me to simply run a drain line outdoors.  Thanks for the responses!

    Portable A/C - "Self-evaporating" question

I can set the temperature via the display, then it returns to displaying the actual temperature and changes as the temperature changes.  Say I had it set to 75 degrees and it reads 80, it still cycles from cold to warm.  Therefore, I don't believe it is cycling to maintain the temperature, since...

    Portable A/C - "Self-evaporating" question

We just returned from High Meadow Campgrounds in Hershey, PA.  Great camp and a great time!  Anyway, it was pretty hot and we had our portable A/C unit running all day.  It is a self-evaporating unit, but has a drain plug in case we need to actually drain it.  The system would blow nice cold air...

Dump black water without a dump station... oh joy

Well, some changes to the yard and the fact that we now have a truck took care of the problem of "no dump station available" yesterday.  I was able to pull right up to the septic tank, remove the 4" PVC cap and voila (or would it be "flush"?).

    Goodbye Pacifica... Hello, F150 SuperCrew!

I had posted info in Newcomers' Corner last year: http://www.rvforum.net/SMF_forum/index.php?topic=19864.msg188414#msg188414.  We just traded it for a used F150 SuperCrew.  My neighbor also gave me a Reese Draw Bar and 2" ball.  That saved me a few bucks.  ;) We've already opened it and the...

    Popup rook jack not working

I had the same problem and you can read my thread at http://www.rvforum.net/SMF_forum/index.php?topic=21387.msg217827#msg217827.  Part of the thread has this from me: "I did not have to remove the sides.    I opened the camper and held it up with a 2x4.  There are two nuts inside the top of...

How do I determine if the Current Limiter or Power Head Motor is bad?

Hooray!!!  I spliced the wires and connected the power (from the battery only) to the lift motor and... it's... ALIVE!!!  We got everything opened up and my boys are having 6 friends sleep over this weekend for their birthday celebration(s) (only 6days apart).  My neighbor had a tree down during...

How do I determine if the Current Limiter or Power Head Motor is bad?

Ok, I'm going to pick up a meter today and try checking from the current controller to the motor and see if it's passing any current.  If it is, then I should be able to assume it's the motor, correct?  A friend told me I should take the leads BEFORE the current controller and touch them...

    Considering portable A/C in Niagara

Now that camping season is right around the corner, I'm back here looking for more information.  :)  But I figured I'd post an update: we bought a 7,000 BTU portable unit from Walmart for $299 http://www.walmart.com/ip/Haier-7-000-BTU-PORTABLE-AC-W-REMOTE/13423135#ProductDetail.  I know it's not...

How do I determine if the Current Limiter or Power Head Motor is bad?

I'm about to fix the broken power lift system on my 08 Niagara, but don't want to spenf the money on one part if it's actually  the other part that's broken.  How do I determine which one it is?
