    Troubleshooting Prodigy P2 brake controller

Good news bad news type of day.  Started at rear axle and pulled wire through axle. Found a wear spot with copper exposed and dirt on the insulation, so a good candidate for the issue and not something i did pulling the wire out. Bad news, the electrical tape didn't hold and my new wire fell off...

    Troubleshooting Prodigy P2 brake controller

Thanks for the idea MP.  The trailer wiring is factory. Traced it as far as i could, in wire loom, no damage i can see. The 7way connecter i replaced last year with a new hitch, connections are good and still has dielectric in it.  This problem appeared between the previous weekend and when I...

Connected the truck while i move the wires around and back and forth, cant get the code.  Tomorrow when i get home I guess i'll pull the wires all the way through.  Is it not a good...

    Troubleshooting Prodigy P2 brake controller

Heading west up the Eisenhower tunnel Friday night my P2 Brake controller started flashing SH and then OL when the brake was applied and occasionally NC.  Stopped at a chainup station and check connections, runaway break, wires on the back of the wheels. Didn't see anything and by the time i got...

    Propane dectector

General opinion arrived at over the years with anything electronic in an RV, radios, power ports, thermostats, detectors, tvs, microwaves etc. Overpriced, low quality.  I'm just a bit peeved at the things i've had to fix or replace in my 3yr old trailer even before it was six months old.  Funny...

    Propane dectector

Has anyone found a propane detector from a reputable company, no one of the RV specific manufacturers. May be stepping on toes but not impressed with the quality or features Atwood, MTI etc.  Need to replace the combo lp/co unit than came in my trailer and gives a false alarm at least a couple...

    Need a single tire

Just curious, how do people feel about the greenballs from Costco? Generally Costco carries good stuff and backs it up. About the same price as Carlisle from Wally world. D range

I'm not aware of any that aren't Chinese anymore. Chinese can make a good product but you pay for it just as if a domestic.

    Need a single tire

The skirt that come closest in measurements (assuming mine are off just a bit) looks correct but isn't available in black.  I emailed them to see if they have a solution.  May have to purchase in white and paint.  :-\ Tires were Trailer King ST Radials

    Need a single tire

Leaning towards a replacement of the same brand size etc on the same axle and then replace all four next spring.  Forgot to mention, travel trailer, dual axles, single tire, non driven.

    Need a single tire

Had a lovely long weekend capped off by a blown tire on the way home.  Everyone is safe, fortunately i had checked and filled the spare before we left.  How important to have matching tires on both axles or at least on the same axle?  The spare has full tread, the others are all about half. ...

LP leaking at tank pigtail connections

Check that there isn't undo stress on the hose.  I had the same thing occur this year.  The regulator bracket was installed so it was hanging on the hose(s) only.  I believe this cause the premature failure (2yrs old).  I have since move the bracket so that it is supported by the bar that holds...
