My hose was very hard to get onto the connector. In fact I had to use a screwdriver to get it started.

You mentioned that you are hooked up to an external water source. Are you using a pressure regulator? Maybe the water pressure is too high. Try using the water from the tank only. Craig

I realize that this is the friendliest place but I have to vent. Why are we letting people use the word ain't?  What happened to proper spelling and grammar?  If we do not correct them then they will remain ignorant in life.

I too was a scout . But my memories are of about all the dangerous and stupid things we did with out adult supervision. Watch your kids carefully. A lot of scouts are getting injured .  I remember the adults drinking all night as well as us kids.

I am in NYC . The temp has been around 25 degrees and The thermostat is at 70 degrees in my 1996 32'. 3 gallons a day I am using.

You said 2 are connected to the same circuit. You are probably overloading the circuit with 2. Try them each in 2 seperate circuits.

I just replaced mine with a generac QP55G  Except for a few ove rspeed shutdowns so far so good.  130 hrs and two months old.
