If you are able to remove the bolt, I wound replaced it with a bolt that uses an alan wrench to tighten/loosen (cap screw).

Those of you with the TST TPMS system...

About 5 minutes for our TST. We do not have to move first. The 507 model transmits while sitting. I can turn it on and get readings before we leave. Are you using the booster?

    Tires, TPMS, blowouts, etc.

I have not found any warts with the TST system. I took the advice of folks here before making a decision and have been happy with it.

    Tires, TPMS, blowouts, etc.

Manufacturer of the 507 is TST. If you search "507 TPMS" here, you will see other threads about this and other TPMSs.

    Tires, TPMS, blowouts, etc.

I would buy an infrared temp reader and use it to help diagnosis your heat source. Stop and check when you start to see abnormally high tire pressures or a difference between the pressures. It can be useful for a lot of heat related things. Harbor Freight has a couple to chose from $15-30. I...

Bluebird makes its 400 th Electric School bus.

Yes, I have driven both gas and diesel buses. Drove both in the same day last week. Same bus model/platform. All I could think of was the turtle (diesel Cummins) and hare (gas Ford V-10) race! I love diesel but I have to hand it to the V-10; it is pretty stout and doesn't throw the check engine...

Bluebird makes its 400 th Electric School bus.

I said "I volunteered if this was pursued..." It may not happen. There is nothing in the works in our area but it is happening in Maine. I can start the ICE bus and "let it warm up" for 30 minutes and it will still not warm the bus this time of year until I drive it and put a load on it. I...

EV Vs ICE - Road taxes

Hence our TV. The TT cost about 3 times more than we have in the TV that had 68,000 miles on it when purchased about 10 years ago. It now has 94,000 miles on it. It is basically used only to tow. My daily driver is a 1998 GMC Sierra K1500 4x4! The two combined were half the cost of the TT! 😀

Bluebird makes its 400 th Electric School bus.

I am now a school bus driver. My route is about 25 miles AM and again in the PM. It is rural so I do get up to the legal speed (45 MPH) in some spots. I have volunteered to drive the first EV school bus for our district if this is pursued in our area.

    rear view camera

I really like our TPMS system (TST 507). They do screw on but have a jam nut that takes a special wrench (supplied). It has not been a problem for me as our tires hold air very well and the wrench is not much of a concern. There are a number of pros and cons to the type of sensors. A pro - I...

    Shipping a car?

My son shipped a car last July from Ca to Maine for about $2500 with one of the car haul companies. It was an open trailer. He went through a broker who bid it out. It went well and was quick, 4 days and had no concerns or issues. He put an Apple air tag in it and could track it. I can ask him...

    Story Behind Your Screen Name

Long story short to spare how I went from herding cattle to herding 8th graders in 1992, I later spent 8 years as an assistant principal in public schools. Some call the position "vice principal." When I needed a personal email account about 20 years ago and with my last name as Price, I used...

    Story Behind Your Screen Name

Used a TRS-80 my senior year ('81) in HS writing simple programs in BASIC stored on a cassette. A Commador 128 was the centerpiece of an independent 1 credit course my senior year of college ('85). Started using an 8088 Leading Edge computer and 1400 BAUD dial up to transmit dairy production...

    will it pull?

I agree with UTTransplant. I would not attempt to tow that trailer with a half ton truck. Our trailer is plenty for our 3/4 ton truck and it is 28 feet (really 31 from tongue to rear bumper) and 6200 lbs empty. It is 7500 lbs loaded. That is a lot of "sail" behind our truck. I would not want...
