About 5 minutes for our TST. We do not have to move first. The 507 model transmits while sitting. I can turn it on and get readings before we leave. Are you using the booster?

I like our Husky Centerline TS it is a friction bar system. A little noisy but works well.

I have not found any warts with the TST system. I took the advice of folks here before making a decision and have been happy with it.
