Your Inverter Generator is Quiet Enough for You, but What About Your Neighbors?

No the Champion 3500 is actually very quiet. It is closer to the noise level of a Honda 2000. At most CGs there is enough of a buffer between the sites that you won't be irritating anyone unless you are running it in the quiet of early morning or late at night. You can even place your generator...

Your Inverter Generator is Quiet Enough for You, but What About Your Neighbors?

The Honda 3000 is the quietest gen that I have been next to. I think it will run a 15K AC. I know my 3500 watt Champion will. If you are really concerned about noise I think solar would be a good way to go but I think the AC would be out. We have been at many CGs and have run our gen. Most of...

    How big should I go

Why would you say this? The manufactures have spent a lot of time and money testing these vehicle and they say that the vehicle can safely tow up to these limits. Why would you say you shouldn't even tow close to these limits? Have you done your own test and found that their results are wrong...

    How big should I go

SAE J2807 Tow Tests - The Standard Fully Equipped The J2807 ?Test Tow-Vehicle Selection? requirements have some wiggle room in the ratings assigned to a particular configuration, but the allowances favor the customer. The rules require that a tow vehicle ?shall be equipped with the propulsion...

Thinking of going full time RV

Wife and I are thinking of selling our home and going full time RV. We are trying to find out if the reality of it is as good as the fantasy. Have any of you sold your home and gone full time RV and regretted the change? Thanks for any thoughts and/or advice.

    Jayco or Coleman

Don't know much about Coleman but the Jayco is a nice trailer. Jayco is one of a few that have a two year warranty. Most are only one.

Theft avoidance of TT - List of security items

I used this http://www.etrailer.com/dept-pg-Locks-sf-Hitch_and_Trailer_Locks-pt-Coupler_Lock-hs-Standard_Coupler_Lock.aspx when I had a bumper pull. I think it's a really good theft deterrent. It is really visible and hard to remove. I think it is enough to deter all but the most determined...

Researching best 1/2 ton truck for pulling a trailer

Any of the 1/2 ton trucks you are looking at will do a really good job pulling the size trailer you are looking at if equipped right (tow package etc.) What I found pulling trailers with a 1/2 ton truck with a small block gas motor was they do really well up to about 8K lbs. After that they...

    Fifth Wheel towing

Left (Street Side) 5326 Right (Curb Side) 4508 CWSWINE.....This is interesting stuff. I have weighed each axle on my trailer but never side to side. I'm surprised to see that much of a difference. I will have to check mine and see how it compares. Thanks for all the work.

    Digital thermastat

I have done this to every TT I have ever owned that didn't come with a digital thermostat from the factory. Just follow NY_Dutch and Abendage lead and just leave the AC out of it. The AC should actually work pretty well the way it is already set up.

WD Hitch setup and "Test Tow"

You are right "some people just don't get it" Take a good look at yourself bud. Please don't try to help anyone set up their hitch. They will hate you because it will never work right. Get some real experience before you judge and try to give advice. Oh....Reese is one of the biggest names in...
