    rv leveling

If you have or know someone with a table saw, go to a home center and buy a 4 x 8 sheet of 1-1/8" plywood (about $35 last time I checked) You can make a ton of blocks any size you need. I made several approx. 16" square for our motor home dual wheels and for use as pads under jacks. For a...

Can I keep open car trailer at class A rv park at my site?

We have a 32' motor home and pull a 16' open car trailer (about 20' with tongue) .... so a total of about 52', and have not been turned away from any rv parks yet. We always leave the trailer hooked up.

    Murphy Bed Trailer

We are currently traveling with my brother and his wife. They have a 2 year old Jayco (I want to say 23') that has the Murphy bed in front and bunks in the rear. They love the lay out and the way the Murphy bed functions, but are definitely not in love with the fit and finish on the interior of...

    Septic Tanks

Thanks for the great feed back everyone. We do have a very handy clean out available to dump in, and we would only be doing it about once or twice a year. We definitely do not use chemicals in our tanks. Thanks again.

    Septic Tanks

Are there any issues in dumping RV holding tanks into home septic tanks?

    50 amp 30 amp

50 amp should be two 50 amp breakers and some smaller ones 30 amp should be one 30 amp breaker and some smaller ones. If you are saying you ONLY have 15 amp breakers, it's likely you are looking at a sub panel, and there is another "main" panel in the rv somewhere. If someone has rewired it...

    Taking Advantage?

We have only stayed at a Walmart once for the night, and that was simply because it would have been a long drive to the next rv park. We arrived mid afternoon and left early the next morning. While there we stocked up on groceries from Walmart. I'm not sure what you mean by early, but at least...

    Now Trailering The Jeep

Yeah John, we have now towed it from East TX to Moab, and it has has really been nice. I love the ability to back up as well. Loading up Friday (after getting my full fix of wheeling Moab) and we'll hit Bryce Canyon before heading to CA to see the grand kids (and possibly their parents..  ;D)...

    Now Trailering The Jeep

After flat towing our Jeep for several years, I decided to trailer it to avoid the tire scrub on the larger tires, and to have a way to get it home in case of carnage (rather than paying shop labor rates to fix it.....Labor is free at home.. :D I picked up a used 16' steel bed car trailer that...

Any Advice on New Tires for the F250?

Highly recommend Toyo Open Country AT's. Ran them on my previous 2000 Ford F250 for years. Great, trouble free, and wore like steel.

    Cancer support, resources thread

Went to the doc several months back complaining of sore muscles/joints in shoulders and hips. After tests found psa levels over 300.  Prostrate biopsy and bone scan revealed prostrate cancer had Metastasized into joints. Doc gave me a 4 month hormone shot and put me on casodex. I know what...

    house batteries

Try a welding shop for cable. They can make you up whatever length and gauge you need and crimp ring terminal ends on them. Plus welding cable is more flexible than starter cable.

Need advice on Texas DMV trailer inspection requirements

We moved to TX this past summer and they required us to have our MH home weighed before licensing it. I think they only do it, if it wasn't previously licensed in TX.

Tow system that needs only one person to attach

I do our Ready Brute Elite by myself as well....easy peasy.

    Toad with Speed restrictions?

I agree, having been a resident of CA for 60+ years, the split speed limit has done more to produce accidents than it has to reduce them IMHO. Having said that, we very seldom push our MH past 65mph no matter where we are, whether we are towing the Jeep or not.
