    age/mileage

Here is my input on the how old is too old and how many miles is too many. We have a 1996 Southwind, 35ft, F53 chassis, 460 Ford. On June 2 we left Silver City, NM for a cross country trip to the SW corner of Prince Edward Island, Canada. We left the yard with 132,067 miles on the clock. Stayed...

Northern NM / AZ loop in May?

If I were in the area of Canyon de Chelly I'd have to spend at least half a day. Nice campground, don't have to walk much to see all the sights. Been there 4 times so far.

    kwikee blowing fuse

1996 Southwind, F53 Ford, 35ft. kwikee steps have worked fine for years, today they wouldn't work. The 25 amp fuse was blown, replaced it and the steps worked fine, in and out a number of times. Tried them again after a couple of hours, wouldn't work, had left the steps out, fuse blown again...

    F53 Fuel Pump

1996 Southwind, 35 feet, F53. Have to change the fuel pump, looking for experiences with aftermarket pumps. Ford part is pricey, 22 years old with 128,000 miles. There is a Canadian company, Spectra, that seems pretty proud of their pumps and I guess that is what Oreilly sells. Anybody used...

    Dometic Eyebrow Panel

Had the same problems with mine, I forget how I got it off but it wasn't difficult. I took a small jewelers file to the cutouts that were sticking, had to do a bit more filing than I thought would have been needed but all the buttons wok fine now.

    1911 45 ACP

I have one that I have some info on but not all I would like. I believe it is an original UMC Remington, 4 digit serial number, all the inspector marks are there based on what I have found. A guess it has about 50 percent of what I think is original finish. I have not been able to find what it...
